Chaos Fanatic and Crazy/Deranged Archaeologist Guide

Introduction

Tna9wbu.png

Hello everyone and welcome to my combat achievement locked account!

In this guide, we’re tackling three bosses that share similarities in their level of difficulty, offering a relatively easy challenge. Among them, two reside in the Wilderness, adding a layer of risk due to the presence of player killers. The Chaos Fanatic, in particular, is located in a hotspot of PK activity near the Chaos Altar. Those were pretty solid Combat Achievements to get on my account, helping me get enough levels for void. As I was low level I wasn't much worried about PKers at all.

Gear Setup

Crazy and Deranged Archaeologists (Magic Gear)

For those two we will go with the same mickey outfit from the last guide (Scorpia). They are very weak to magic and the magic dart will kill them in about a minute of fighting (average).

YyFIQZD.pngzNZYAF1.png

  • Weapon: Slayer staff
  • Armor: Zamorak robe top
  • Cape: Zamorak robe bottom
  • Helmet: Blue Wizard hat
  • Shield: Anti-Dragonfire shield

  Chaos Fanatic (Ranged Gear)

You could kill the fanatic with mage gear, but he is a lot stronger in magic defence so it will be harder. For this reason we are opting for a ranged gear on this version, with amethyst arrows for faster kills as you are in a pretty dangerous place. Kill him fast and get out of there safe.

KDvuGTy.png

  • Weapon: Magic shortbow
  • Ammunition: Amethyst arrows (or Rune arrows as a budget option)
  • Armor: Best available D'hide (red, black, green)
  • Cape: Ava's device
  • Boots: Snakeskin boots
  • Helmet: Snakeskin helmet
  • Amulet: Amulet of glory (for quick escapes)

  Inventory Setup

The same inventory setup is used for all three bosses:

lz9lceu.png

  • Prayer potions
  • A small amount of food
  • Also runes if you're casting magic of course

Strategy Overview

All three bosses share the same attack pattern. The key is to pray against ranged attacks for the Crazy and Deranged, while praying against magic attacks for the Chaos. Always maintain a straight-line formation as much as possible. Each boss has a special attack where they launch a projectile towards you. To dodge it, simply move to the side—left, right, or even back (although not recommended as the attack recoils to this direction). Once you evade the projectile, keep attacking until the boss is down. Be more cautious of player killers than the bosses themselves.

Always remember to import the tile markers listed below the pictures!

Chaos Fanatic Strategy

To identify his special attack, look for green colors coming out of his hand.

[{"regionId":11836,"regionX":39,"regionY":8,"z":0,"color":"#FFFFFF00"},

{"regionId":11836,"regionX":33,"regionY":8,"z":0,"color":"#FFFFFF00"},

{"regionId":11836,"regionX":39,"regionY":10,"z":0,"color":"#FFFFFF00"},

{"regionId":11836,"regionX":39,"regionY":6,"z":0,"color":"#FFFFFF00"}]

  • Tile Marking: Use the image provided in the guide to locate his spawn point and three key tiles. These tiles help you dodge his straight-line attacks.
  • Prayer Potion Conservation: For the combat achievement requiring no prayer potions, use the Chaos Altar nearby to recharge. Be aware of PKers while doing so!

Crazy Archaeologist Strategy

To identify his special attack, read the chat for a "Rain of Knowledge".

{"regionId":11834,"regionX":32,"regionY":3,"z":0,"color":"#FFD4FF00","label":"move 2"}]

  • Unpredictable Movement: His glitchy movements can make dodging challenging. Engage him north of his lair for a better chance of success.

Deranged Archaeologist Strategy

To identify his special attack, read the chat for a "Learn to read".

[{"regionId":14649,"regionX":35,"regionY":56,"z":0,"color":"#FFFFFF00"},

{"regionId":14649,"regionX":40,"regionY":60,"z":0,"color":"#FFFFFF00","label":"2"}]

  • Safe Zone Advantage: The Deranged Archaeologist is located in a safe zone, so feel free to bring your best gear without fear of losing it.
  • Tight Arena: The small arena makes dodging harder.

Scorpia Boss Guide

Tna9wbu.png

Hello! I'm Luna and this is my first guide of many I'll make with my account. I'm currently doing a Combat Achievement Locked challenge so eventually I'll have to face all of Alora's bosses. If you wish to add me in game to check the progress of the account, its "LuninhaCAL"!

Introduction

Scorpia is a boss encounter known for its low-risk, low-effort nature, making it accessible to players with a wide range of combat levels. The fight is straightforward and doesn't require high stats. In this high-level wilderness area, escaping isn't as simple as using a teleportation spell. You'll need to exit the caves and head to the Rogues' Den Obelisk to teleport out. Fortunately, if you're a low-level player, you're less likely to be targeted by player-killers. This means fewer threats as you take on Scorpia.

Gear Setup

For this encounter, we’ll opt for a magic-focused gear setup that’s both effective and accessible:

YyFIQZD.pngzNZYAF1.png

  • Head: Blue Wizard Hat
  • Chest: Zamorak Monk Robe
  • Legs: Zamorak Robe Bottoms
  • Shield: Anti-Dragonfire Shield (optional)
  • Weapon: Slayer Staff (recommended for its Magic Dart spell)

This setup is very cheap and efficient. Also we get the bonus added of looking like Mickey!

Feel free to use higher-level gear if you have access to it; with maxed stats and equipment, this fight becomes significantly easier, and you might not need a guide at all!

Inventory Setup

0jyVWIJ.png

  • Runes for Entangle
  • Runes for Magic Dart (if using the Slayer Staff)
  • Runes for your chosen offensive spell (if not using Magic Dart)

You can bring food or anti-poison but you probably wont need it.

Strategy

The Scorpia fight takes place in a large cave filled with small, non-aggressive creatures. These creatures won’t attack you and cannot be attacked, so you don't need to worry about them. However, to avoid misclicks, it's helpful to tag them.

  • Safe Spotting:
    • Scorpia can only attack you in specific areas of the arena.

9a4gjdE.png

You can import the tiles I’ve marked in-game with the following code:

  • Refer to the image above to identify the safe tiles where Scorpia will ignore you.
  • Standing on these tiles allows you to pause and regroup if needed.

  • Entangle and Attack:

    1. Start the fight by casting Entangle on Scorpia.
    2. Attack her until the spell wears off, then move to the safe tiles to avoid her attacks.
    3. Repeat this process: cast Entangle, attack, and retreat to the safe tiles until Scorpia is defeated.

Combat Achievements

hItvhdD.png

  • 10 Kill Count: Achieved after 10 kills.
  • 25 Kill Count: Achieved after 25 kills.
  • No-Damage Kill: Kill Scorpia without taking damage. - With Entangle and safe tiles, this achievement is easily attainable first kc.

Tips and Tricks

  • None. You need a trick for this one? Its easy, chill

Thanks for reading my guide and good luck!
