New dono perk
04 February 2025 - 05:17 AM
What is your suggestion?:
Increase the quantity of mole parts dropped as a dono perk.
Is this in OSRS?:
No
Has this suggestion been accepted already?:
Not that I could find
How would this benefit Alora?:
The majority of the server are Ironman, and grinding Giant Mole which is brain dead content for parts to trade for nests to make Sara brews is beyond tedious.
I propose increasing the amount dropped as a dono perk, maybe Legend+?
Or have it scale across all dono levels with the increase in parts larger at higher donors.
OR, and don't know if this would even be possible, maybe have the Mole not dig as a high level dono perk, but keep parts quantity the same.
UIM storage option for booster scrolls
28 January 2025 - 07:21 PM
What is your suggestion?:
Add an option for UIMs to store booster / raid / drop scrolls
Is this in OSRS?:
No, not required as no boosters
Has this suggestion been accepted already?:
NoHow would this benefit Alora?:
Give UIMs a place to store these items, as they are very useful and can be quite expensive, but a pain to hold as there is nowhere to stash them without either taking up a inventory slot or a Nightmare slot.
*While you could store these on a normie and xfer 1 by 1 as required, thats tedious and can be hard if you only have access to one device, specifically mobile, where you cant multi log like you could on a PC.
Explanation of how raid purples work
22 January 2025 - 12:36 AM
What is your suggestion?:
A detailed thread on how purples are calculated at raids and how drop boosters, raid boosters & donor rank impact this.
Is this in OSRS?:
Yes, via wiki and online calcs.
Has this suggestion been accepted already?:
No.
How would this benefit Alora?:
I think it's fair to say the vast majority of mid-end game players time is spent at raids, specifically COX as most start there.
You can be spending 100s of hours in these and it would be great to know exactly how to maximise these hours spent.
The current confusion about how, for example, drop boosters work is rampant.
Is it a flat increase by 15%? does it increase the frequency of purples? Does it increase the quality of the purple IF you roll one? (How i personally think it works)
I understand there's some extra confusion on how it currently works for COX specifically as Alora was the first server to have it, before the drop rates where even fully understood in OSRS, and the code is quite spaghetti.
There's also been talk of a total rework of the drop system to bring it in line with that of OSRS now it's well understood how it works (which would be great and feel free to give opinions on that as part of this thread as well)
I don't know if the other raids are more in line with OSRS but from the endless complaints about drops, more TOB than TOA? It doesn't seem so.
But either way, a clear description of how they work I think would be great for everyone.
I will also offer my time to write the thread itself if Omi / staff don't have the time, just send me the info.
Add ability to store blood runes in Vyre Well
20 January 2025 - 05:49 AM
What is your suggestion?:
Add the ability to store blood runes in Vyre Well at TOB
Is this in OSRS?:
Yes
Has this suggestion been accepted already?:
No
How would this benefit Alora?:
Match the current OSRS mechanics, and allow UIM to store blood runes which are far to valuable to drop.
Adjuat comp cape requirements, but only slightly
09 December 2024 - 06:11 AM
What is your suggestion?:
Adjust the requirements for a comp cape slightly, to allow for missing one existing task in place of completing another, new task.
This is leading on from my other thread about how high ping players have a much harder time in fast paced content, but in regards to the comp cape, specifically Colosseum.
I would propose a colo completion can be excluded, but only if a new task is completed in its place.
This new task wouldnt be a requirement for existing compers, and only there as an option for those who cant do Colo.
Options could be things such as 2-3b+ total xp, X number of raids completed, X number of collection logs etc.
Something that requires many, many hours of work, on par with, and if not longer than, what it would take to learn and complete colo.
This new task would ONLY take the place of a colo completion, and not any of the other existing requirements.
Is this in OSRS?:
No
Has this suggestion been accepted already?:
Not specifically
How would this benefit Alora?:
Help those of us who can't finish colo still be able to comp.
