Event Description:

Following a similar layout as the classic tile race, teams will race each other through the board to the final tile, but with a twist!

Duration of the event:

The event will begin on the 28th of June 8PM server time and end on the 7th of July 8PM server time.

How does it work?

The participants are divided into teams of x players based on their account progress (to keep things fair). Every team starts at Barrows and work their way up on the board. During the race there are a set of passive solo and team tasks that can be done for points that can be spent on a shop to add a little spice to the race. The tasks, how many points they give and how many each perk costs in the shop will be posted in the Discord server which we will link to the participants. Along with these passive tasks you are able to complete one of the two bonus routes when you unlock the second tile. Depending on if your team wants one of the perks you might need to think twice. The Board, teams and other related info will be in the Discord server.

Recently OSRS added an adjustment to the money room to make it easy to clear,

First change was that the hp doesn't scale with Raid level or party size.

second change was that if the baboon is hit with the correct style it will one hit kill it.

*Only for the Brawler, Thrower and Mage, the others have very low hp anyway.

For the Kephri puzzle room, some changes needs to be made to speed it up a little bit,

there's three changes, first the math puzzle.

The math puzzle in alora you have to stand on each tile in order to activate it.

Make each tile your character move across in the puzzle counts.
*When you're running, you skip one tile between each 3 tiles u run across*

Second the flip match tiles puzzle,

Please allow us to activate the tile as soon as our true tile reaches the tile and remove the wait between flipping them

H: What is your most memorable moment while playing Alora?

Mhu: My most memorable moment of Alora, would be the time that I achieved as I call all three deathly hallows :) It was I think half year ago when I finally received Tumeken's shadow, to complete the trinity, knowing that my Ironman account is finally in the end-game base, where I can achieve anything I desire. As dumb as it can sound, but I still remember the feeling like it's a dream, funny how a pixel game can make you feel, even for a little while uh? :)

 

H: If you could change one thing about Alora what would it be and why? 

Mhu: What I would change about Alora is probably my only want and need in this game. But firstly I would like to talk about this server from the beginning. I remember when I first logged in to this server 6 and a half years ago, not knowing what I will find, but just a pure exploring of better, more realistic to original RuneScape server with a bit of ease EXP and grind wise. Little did I know, that I will find the most iconic, loveable and so comforting server. I immediately knew that this is the one, that I will stay on and since the day I joined, I haven't played any other servers, not even original RuneScape it self. Back in the day, when I logged in here, I felt like back in 2007, fishing and communicating with each other, helping each other, leading every person through this game with the knowledge you received, that was the moment I enjoyed the most and I keep enjoying it to this day. Now since the question was about what would I change in this game, is the only thing I miss, the servers to be more Europe friendly, in my opinion and I know that many others too, this would not only attract way more players to this game, but would also make our Wilderness very much alive! :) But dream is a dream and as far as I know, that is not in the plans of Omicron, so we adjust to the situation and continue gaming with people we see more often than our own family members :)

 

H: If given the chance to go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Mhu: Currently I have a goal that I made last year, to go to Spain and pick myself a juicy tangerine from a tree, sounds weird but that is currently the place I want to be in, I know that I will probably achieve it by the end of this year, but the thought of it just makes me smile :)

 

H: If you were given a super power of your choice what would you choose and why?

Mhu: Never have thought about that, basically because having pretty much any power would ruin the element of surprise and many wonderful moments of your life, but if I could choose one, I'd say I would choose teleportation so I could travel the world for free :)

 

H: What is one of your accomplishments you're most proud of?

Mhu: I am almost proud of my accomplishment to be honest, as off today I am 3 combat achievements away from becoming Grand Master in this game, which is my current biggest goal in this game and I know that soon, very soon I will be very joyful having that hardly earned achievement in this game. But if we talk about what we achieved as off now, I would say the friendship of many wonderful people in this game, the jokes, communication between each other and most amazing clan that I am in #ICE & amazing all-in-all community is still here, despite the toxic people that we have, they are also needed in such community to maintain the thrill and wholesomeness of our beloved Alora.

H: What is your most memorable moment while playing Alora?

Sicily: I can't think of an exact, singular moment... but my best memories are for sure from the years 2022 and 2023, when I was the most active in the server, playing day in and day out with friends. Simpler times!

 

H: If you could change one thing about Alora what would it be and why? 

Sicily: On a personal level I think the thing I would like the most to change would be my EU Ping of constant 150ms+ which makes a lot of content insufferable ahaha Of course a lot of other things could be better on Alora but hey... I keep coming back to it so apparently it is good enough 

 

H: If given the chance to go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Sicily: I would absolutely love to visit all of the nordic countries, experience seeing the northen lights and go on a dinner date with @Elsa !!!

 

H: If you were given a super power of your choice what would you choose and why?

Sicily: I would love to have the ability to instantly learn how to do anything - languages, science, math, music, sports etc! The possibilities of what you could do with your life on your day to day would be limitless... Would contribute to a less boring life that's for sure!

 

H: What is one of your accomplishments you're most proud of?

Sicily: For Alora I kinda set my plans as I play, it really depends on what I feel like doing that day ... but long-term plans are getting monkey cape on this new account and working towards Combat Achievements and endgame gear. In real life I intend to continue my PhD and also continue working in my professional field (Pre-School Education) !

What is your suggestion?: Buffing the lucky penny by adding 5% chance to save charges for each donor rank starting from uber and having it work with the blood fury, if 5% would be too overpowered I think 2.5% per rank would be great aswell.

Hello everyone!

For the past few weeks we have been working hard at something that has been highly requested for many months, which is of course Leagues 3!

For those unfamiliar with the idea of Leagues, it's quite simple. You make a new account that is locked to the island of Kourend and your goal is to complete as many tasks as you can in 6 weeks. Achieving certain point milestones allows you to unlock Relics, which are overpowered boosts to your account.

For those that are familiar with leagues and maybe even played our previous version of Leagues over 2 years ago, we have made some changes. First of all, we have unlocked two extra regions. Karamja will be unlocked at Tier 3, and the Desert will be unlocked at Tier 5. Regarding relics, we have decided to take the best from the previous OSRS Leagues to make sure that you have to think hard before you make a permanent choice. 

Lastly, since this is a tournament, there will be some big prizes to reward the best of the best, both real-world and in-game. Points that you accumulate in the tournament can be spent on various cosmetics with the Leagues Tutor in Edgeville on the main game.

Now lets dive into some sneak peeks!

What is your suggestion?: My suggestion is for ironmen to be able to receive PVP keys. As it currently stands any loot PKD by an ironman is instantly destroyed. On OSRS as of not to long ago wilderness keys were introduced...

For ironmen if you pked any other player and had purchased wilderness keys for 10m at ferox enclave you were able to then receive a PVP Key which holds the loot of the other player. If an ironman doesn't open the key, he is able to then die to its main account and transfer the loot to the main account. If the ironman DOES open the key the ironman then has to destroy the loot because the key is opened and can no longer be transferred as well as the iron can not take the items. This would work the same for realism as they also don't get items, same function as irons.

How would this benefit Alora?: I have seen a LOT of well built ironman accounts that have PK gear and currently roam wilderness still being apart of PVP due to being able to tier up Emblems. I know wilderness isn't very active and this isn't an idea for reviving wilderness, but this would definitely give a bit more motivation for ironmen who pvm to actually fight back against pvpers and possibly get a big loot in return. This could bring even a little more activity to the wilderness.

As to the loss to an obviously very nice moneysink for the eco another one may have to be introduced or thought of.

K'ril Tsutsaroth Guide

I. Getting there

Teleport Wizard > Bosses > Godwars Dungeon > Run a little northeast to the Ice bridge and climb off to cross the lake into Zamorak's Fortress, then run east until you reach the door.

 Ghommal's Hilt 1-6
Players with at least easy tier of the combat achievements will be able to tele to any Godwars boss door (excluding Nex until Elite+) 5 times a day, this scales to medium being 10 and hard+ being infinite.

Like the other Godwars bosses, K'ril Tsutsaroth also has 3 minions to accompany him and all three do melee attack style.

K'ril uses both melee and mage attacks but also has a special attack that uses the mage attack style and can hit up to 30 if the player is not praying mage, so prioritize praying mage while fighting him then switch to melee prayer when healing off of the minions.

Note: It is highly advisable to get an arclight (or Twisted bow if you wish) before coming to this boss as every other weapon is worse by a large margin.
- K'ril is classed as a greater demon so slayer task is advisable, can be extended as well.

Ironman V2 Progress #2

Hello everyone and welcome update #2 of the new ironman.

I've gotten a lot of PvM progress on the account. Not a lot of skilling progress, but planning on maxing before update #3 of this series.

Grinding for the Salad Blade really paid off with DT2 following not far behind after acquiring it. With DT2 being released my main focused switched from rushing CoX to the 4 new bosses DT2 brought alongside it.

Future Goals

CoX was the original goal, but DT2 being released has me set and stone on achieving lots of progress there. I do not plan to stop till i have Virtus Robe Top and Robe Bottom along with the bis strength ring from Vardorvis.

Having fun rebuilding a new ironman from scratch and plan on making more gains within the next month. Will be back without update #3 towards the end of this month or beginning of the next, but until then I'll see you all in game and happy grinding.

How would this benefit Alora?:

As it stands, we are an RSPS with one world so hopping to other worlds is not a possibility. For endgame ironmen, getting runes such as Blood and Soul have been quite the challenge. The Blood and Soul runes have been added in to the Vote shop and regular Rune shops have been added to help with this issue. The problem is that the shops have only so many runes in them and their stock is shared between all ironmen (and realism?) accounts so they are out of stock quickly. Of course there is the Pkp shop as well but for many ironmen this is not a very viable method to obtain runes in bulk and the shop is mainly meant for pkers. Omicron also added Catalytic, Combination and Elemental rune pouches to Paul's store that have more runes in them but the cost per rune is way too high for it to be worth it. Many late game or endgame ironmen have a lot of cash and nothing to spend it on, and some have even droppped this money into the economy. This suggestion would give us ironmen a good way to use a lot of money to get a bunch of runes really quickly while still needing to runecraft them.

The Scar Essence Mine has gotten a bit of backlash from both main accounts and ironmen in OSRS for being pointless in a sense that it is just quicker "shopscape" and only caters to ironmen. While I don't disagree with it being a bit boring solution and it really does only cater ironmen, mostly endgame ironmen with the best weapons but it is still way better than buying from shops. For Alora it is even better since we can not hop into different worlds to buy more runes and also would make an interesting option for mains to get bulk runes fast if they don't want to camp shops which is very tedious. I think using the shop prices for runes is fine, they are already very expensive as is. The method still requires to runecraft so it is not a "buy X option" but it also is not normal runecrafting, which is way less runes per hour.

TLDR; Quick way to get runes in bulk, fights shopscape and potential money sink for late game ironmen/mains that want a lot of runes very quickly.
