3 Problems
- Doesn't Promote Activity - The amount of time needed to go from 15 pets to 61 (all) pets is pretty drastic. 99.9% of people wouldn't even bother with this grind since it's so unrealistic
- Will Only Get Worse - As the game continues to expand with new content, so will the gap between 15 pets and all pets. Over the past year or so we've already added the following pets: Sol, DT2, TOA, Quetzin, etc. None of these are easy grinds at all and these will definitely not be the last pets added to the game (e.g. "Nid" the Araxxor pet). The gap will continue to widen
- Inconsistent - It doesn't follow the same "tier" structure that other grindy awards have (i.e. PVP killstreaks awards, collection log awards, raid completion awards, etc.). I think the tier structure is great way to break up long grinds with milestones that help you stay motivated along the way. Also, 15 unique pets isn't very special considering there are 9 skilling pets. But 25 or 35+ pets probably means you have some cool bossing/raid pets that you'd probably like to "show off" in the form of a forum award.
My Suggestion
Restructure the Pet award category so that there are realistic and attainable milestone awards to help fill the gap between 15 and "all pets".
