I don't see why this would be a problem but I also do not see the point in it considering gp is pretty much useless on an ironman. If you do enough slayer and pickup caskets the gp piles up.
Goodluck! Ironman mode is a great way to play the game. Less likely to get burnt out with all the different goals you can set yourself aswell as new items to add to collection log. It's a grind but extremely fun!
