What is your suggestion?:

Add chaos and death runes to the vote shop for 2 points per 100 runes, since it's a lower tier than souls and bloods which give 50 runes per 2 points.

How would this benefit Alora?:

Early level ironmen, irons with shadows, and irons who want to cast barrage spells in the late game would all benefit from these additions. Alora itself would benefit since players will use more vote books for more runes, thus leading to more votes, and it would be even less op than currently buying soul and blood runes is, so I don't see any harm in this addition.

What is your suggestion?:

Add gravestones to Alora that will hold players items on death for a set amount of time. Players would need to unlock their items for a fee. We could also add deaths coffer that would accept items for a gold value, to increase their amount spent to be able to retrieve those items back (could be used as an item sink).

How would this benefit Alora?:

This could work as a money sink while also helping players who disconnect and die pvming from losing their items. 

With all the money 'collected' from these deaths it could go to either the well of goodwill to make the community happy, OR towards buying items from TP using the item consumption device to help delete items from the game, the GP will go back to players, that would go back to paying death fees in a cycle that will lead to no extra money coming in but items getting removed.

XP Rate by choice

Allow players to choose their xp rates in whatever game mode they wish to play. This will give players the power to play whatever game mode they want, in whatever xp rate they want, a group ironman of 40x xp rate could play with their GIM friend of 2x xp rate.

Merging game modes to make sense with this change would look as followed

We would essentially be dropping from new players having a choice of 9 game modes to only 6 which are actually the same 6 from OSRS (bringing us closer to osrs)

Q & A

•But I already chose my game mode with my locked xp, what if I want to change it?

-Sure you can change your current xp rate, but you can ONLY make it easier on yourself. This will ensure no one goes from 40x rate, gets 4.6b xp, and changes to 2x and look good on highscores.

•How would this work with our current highscores?
-There would be a 2nd option bar for players to pick what xp rate they want to search from (similar to below). Could also add a 'view all' option on the xp rates to compare yourself to all the players from that game mode.

•What about Realism? Wouldn't this mean we'd have to merge?

-Not really, we could techinically merge all realism, but we know how that creates a lot of debate. This could just be stated when choosing 2x xp rate as a normie that your eco would be separated with a double verification when making the account that that's what they're looking for.

•What about current restrictions? Example: classic accounts only getting half the bonus's from well and vote books as normies

-We could either remove these strange restrictions and make the rules universal for boosts, OR leave them in place, again with warnings on account creations.

•Is this worth the dev time and changing the game on how it's been since the start?
-I personally believe it is, a lot of players have voiced their concerns on having way too many game modes before, and considering some of the positive feedback from this suggestion https://www.alora.io...and-game-modes/ it might be other players who feel the same.

Although this is the point of posting suggestions is to get constructive criticism and feedback from the community, so feel free to have your voice heard below.
 

From personal experience and feedback from a few players, they feel like ironman is a fun game mode, but 40x xp rate is too fast, but they don't want to play other ironman modes with lower xp rates due to the integrity being compromised of just being able to buy items.

What is your suggestion?:

Add an option for ironmen to choose a lower xp rate, my personal preference is the GIM rate of 6x base xp, but can be discussed. I don't think this needs to be a whole new game mode, considering we already have way too many in my opinion.

How would this benefit Alora?:

There wouldn't be any negatives other than some possible dev time, not sure how much would be needed but I would assume some copy paste scripting would be all it takes? It would give players a better challenge in ironman mode while also allowing them to experience end game content without 200m xp already in the skill, and make other skilling grinds more in depth than they currently are for ironmen.

Disclaimer: this in no way should have priority over other updates since it's more of a personal preference, and I wanted to come up with another way of doing this, but there's too many game modes already and if we voted on removing one I'm sure the ones who enjoy that game mode would riot in Falador. Or we just make any ironman mode with more than 1 player be considered a group ironman and get it over with.

Under the player statistics catagory in the quest tab, add a section showing what the total drop rate % boost a player has currently, and have it change if a player has a drop booster on. 

How would this benefit Alora?:

Makes it easier for us non math wizards to know what our boosted drop rate is over main game (the 21% boost over osrs + rank) This would work similarly to how it shows our xp rate boost.
