#480796 preset spell

Posted by Neuro on 11 March 2024 - 02:23 AM

If I have a button to summon a thrall and I simultaneously want to cast death charge alongside that; I am still going to have to go into my spellbook and cast death charge when I could have just done both at once.

This is a non-issue, and as Shadow stated, just use F-keys for ease of access.

#476383 healer at wintertodt

The healer at Wt is not a necessity. It's cool if it's there and makes it somewhat more appealing, but is not a make or break by any means.

When wearing full warm clothing and keeping Wt below 10% the damage is drastically more infrequent and you do not need that much food to complete a full 13.5k point run, not to mention there's a safespot to fletch kindling.

Getting 4.6b on a Classic was a wild ride for me last year; my favorite memory by far.

#473349 Well of Goodwill

jfc i hurt you this bad king? l0l and yeah only 1.7b all time cuz aint shit else worth throwing in there besides low tier items. Stop counting my bank man let it go, you will never have my bank just get over it

actually it would, it did the same for polton and 17 when they held the eco, we actively looked for items that gave the best return for gp. hense the screenshot below of items im holding to chuck in well over time.

DGp0Ap3.png

I'm sure everyone I bought these items off of are happier because of it, and if we could widen this to higher tier items like bandos, ancestral, arcanes, etc then I'd 100% be more incentivized to buy them up to chuck into the well.

This is an incredibly silly screenshot to post since you claim to buy out all the elder mauls and given you rarely donate to well to begin with. I'm not sure if you've seen how much 17 has donated to well, or what his well tab looked like, but this is not a comparison you want to make; nothing you're doing here is the same as them.

This idea will not make anyone, including yourself, dump high end items into well when they could sell it for raw cash. You get relatively nothing for donating to well apart from bonus exp, and there are plenty of people who will donate for that of course, but making an arcane 1.5b in the well has no incentivization for people who have arcanes to then dump them in the well. You lose 800-900m raw cash for 1.5b value in well, which is not an equivalent exchange.

There are a handful of good ideas you could suggest regarding the state of the well, but you post the same well suggestions on repeat that are just inherently bad. The well is completely functional as is, however I do believe it could do with some additions potentially, but this isn't one of them.

Yeah, this doesn't make sense. Valuing an arcane at 1.5b will not incentivize people to dump their arcanes into well, and neither will it for you.

Not a valid idea for an item sink. No support.

This already exists. Climb down the ladder into the gem mine and east of the ladder is a bank deposit.

#471450 Make TOB (Normal mode) easier

Posted by Neuro on 29 October 2023 - 09:31 AM

I don't understand why we have to keep circumventing actually learning a piece of content and resort to making it as brainless as chambers. If people are willing to learn high invo ToA I do not understand why we can't apply the same logic to this single piece of content.

My answer is not simply to "get better" rather, put in the effort to actually learn this piece of content. I understand barely anyone is willing to put in that kind of effort, but we should not be nerfing endgame content into the ground because no one wants to try. ToB is "dead content" because people make it dead content. You do not need BiS everything to complete the raid reliably; BiS will not make a bad player any better at the game. Skill > gear 100% of the time; the more skilled you are, the less gear you need.

#470178 TOB scaling

Posted by Neuro on 10 October 2023 - 08:27 AM

I get this take, but I also think there is a line between actually nerfing content mechanics and reducing HP to support a smaller group. If ToB mechanics worked the same way they did years ago when you could blindly tbow verzik, didn't have to tank, didn't have to swap prayers or use any tech at all I wouldn't make the suggestion. Reducing boss HP in a duo isn't going to change the fact that you still have to learn ToB. This isn't really aimed to support the people that aren't willing to learn ToB. It's for the people that want to ToB outside of bonus or during lower traffic play times.

Tob is supposed to be the hardest content in the game, and duo is one of the hardest ways to do tob, apart from solos. I understand doing duo tob in not 100% BIS is difficult, but the raid was made to be the pinacle of endgame content. Scaling won't fix the issue of finding a duo to do tob with when people stop doing tob because they get the item they want, rather than people legitimately doing tob because they find the content enjoyable, and those people are going to have duo's of their own.

#470176 TOB scaling

Posted by Neuro on 10 October 2023 - 08:00 AM

This isn't going to solve the problem of bankstanding waiting for a +1. The issue has always been not enough people willing to learn the content; however you'll find plenty of people doing tob on bonuses. I don't believe we should keep nerfing this piece of content to incentivize more people to do tob more often.

#448774 More Greater nechryaels in Catacombs

Posted by Neuro on 23 December 2022 - 06:23 AM

Nechs are a super underwhelming task as is currently given there are only 9 and their respawn time is 30 secs. Support, but I do wonder if adding 5 more nechs would make them way too good of a bursting task relative to all the other bursting tasks.

#448676 Zoom Extender Plugin

Posted by Neuro on 22 December 2022 - 06:05 AM

What is your suggestion?: Add the Zoom Extender plugin from the Runelite plugin hub

Is this in OSRS?: Yes

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No

How would this benefit Alora?: As it stands right now, mahogany tables are the meta "no mouse movement" construction training method in the game. Adding this plugin adds the Mythical Cape Rack method; a viable, lower tier, and less expensive "no mouse movement" training method that gives teak planks a good use.
