I think it might be just monster weakness in general, some monsters should beweaker to certain melee styles, others to magic or ranged, pretty sure it does not matter too much on Alora right now what you use.

nice progress man! how are you killing anything with those combat stats though? recoil rings? ring of suffering?
To my surprise some monsters feel weaker on Alora so it is easy to tank them with no damage. I sometimes use cannon, but mostly magic/melee on tasks.
