#501368 Drakan's medallion - Ver Sinhaza replacement

Posted by Not Shadow on 23 November 2024 - 02:01 AM

What is your suggestion?:

Replace the Ver Sinhaza "::tob" teleport on the medallion to East side of Darkmeyer

Add the wall rope agility lvl 63 shortcut

Is this in OSRS?:

Yes, You can use a Hallowed crystal shard to teleports the player directly to the Hallowed Sepulchre lobby.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Nope.

How would this benefit Alora?:

After the release of Araxxor, one of the fastest way to get is there is by teleporting to the Hallowed Sepulchre lobby, run outside and take the shortcut, since we don't have the minigame nor the teleport crystal, I'm suggesting that we replace the tob tele on the medallion since we have the command ::tob and instead having the medallion teleport location to be on the east side of the Darkmeyer city, which will make it easy to run to the shortcut and the Daeyalt essence mine.

PS: For people who doesn't know how to get the Drakan's medallion. It's a reward from reaching Elite tier on the combat achievements, talk to Ghommal outside of ::shops to get it.

#491804 Hunters' Rumours Guide

tsFFoYG.png

Hello everyone,

Today's guide is about the new Hunter skill activity Hunter's Rumors.

What are Hunter's Rumors you might ask?

Hunters' Rumours are an assignment system, similar to Slayer tasks or Farming contracts, that are available through the Hunter Guild by first speaking to Guild Scribe Verity in the Burrow, the guild's underground pub. By speaking to one of the Guild Hunters in the Burrow, players are tasked to investigate a rumour involving a specific hunter creature. This is done by hunting the creature until a rare creature part is received, and then bringing it back to the Guild Hunter. When a player finds the rare part, a jingle is played and the player receives the message You find a rare piece of the creature! You should take it back to the Hunter Guild..

tsFFoYG.png

How to get to Hunter Guild,

To reach the guild you have multiple ways

Hunter/Max Cape teleport which will take you directly down to the Burrow.

giQEwHe.png ToS3qej.png

J5szoxU.pngToS3qej.png

If you don't have 99 hunter you can get there by taking the quetzal teleport system located in east side of Varrock

Requirements and recommendations

Level 46 Hunter > Huntmaster Gilman (Novice)

Level 57 Hunter > Guild Hunter Cervus or Ornus (adept)

Level 72 Hunter > Guild Hunter Aco or Teco (expert)

Level 91 Hunter > Guild Hunter Wolf (Master)

Fairy ring access > Completion of Easy & Medium Lumbridge Diary or Lunar Staff

Spoiler

After you get the whistle, you wanna right lick and click Rumor after you receive a rumor and check the chat box to make sure you're hunting the correct rumor.

*There's a bug currently with the plugin when it can show wrong task.

and can be upgraded to Large Meat pouch by buying a Mixed hide base from Pellem's Fur Store (Southeast of the guild) + needle + 3x Sunlight antelope fur. Needs lvl 65 Crafting.

8GwN1LX.png

The plugin will show you what rumor you currently have and how to get there.

Also you will find the place marked on the map

tsFFoYG.png

What do we need to do to run Rumors efficiently ?

There are a few things to note:

  • Huntmaster Gilman (Novice) is able to give all rumours.
  • Guild Hunter Cervus and Ornus are both (adept) hunters, but have their own distinct list of rumours.
  • Guild Hunter Aco and Teco are both (expert) hunters, but have their own distinct list of rumours.
  • Guild Hunter Wolf (Master) is able to give only 8 type of rumors. (Which we will try to force it to 3 only)

What does it mean to us?

In order to not waste too much time running around we need to setup a blocking list with the low tier Huntmaster in order to go to Master tier with only the ability for him to assign 3 types of rumors.

List of Rumors can be found here

Spoiler

Here's the plan : We need to block the following tasks with the following master.

*Blocking means to get a task assigned and move on to the next Huntguild master.

Huntmaster Gilman (Novice) > Tecu salamander or Moonlight moth
Guild Hunter Cervus (adept) > Red chinchompa

Guild Hunter Ornus  (adept) > Red salamander

Guild Hunter Aco (expert) > Moonlight moth or Tecu salamander

Guild Hunter Teco (expert) > Herbi

Here's the Guild Hunter Wolf (Master) list after blocking

Moonlight antelope
Sunlight antelope
Dashing kebbit

*Enable Back-To-Back rumors by talking to Guild Scribe Verity

c7JnRjh.png

sg7JGMy.gif

You will be getting only those 3 tasks, which are the best Rumors/Hr.

tsFFoYG.png

Now you reached the Burrow room where you can get your Rumors hunt started,

O8LOwqp.png

Now we start by talking to the Novice huntmaster to get our first rumor

S7n9AyZ.png

aw4P7ou.png

SkieynY.png

**Remember to always double check with the whistle that you're hunting the correct rumor.

6D6yh6W.png

*I will only explain the pitfall trapping since it's the new one, Deadfall trap is the same thing, just need logs and you click on the rock to make the trap.

Spoiler

Then you go back to hunter guild and talk to your huntmaster to receive your loot

*You can stack these loot sacks if you want.

XvSw8ms.png

And that's it, get another task, confirm with your whistle and good luck!

#490496 House pet drop rate

Posted by Not Shadow on 04 July 2024 - 04:26 AM

There's no problem with the house pet, it's simply a very rare pet to obtain, probably the rarest in the game. Also, the idea that we'd wipe it from anyones account and make it a mahogany homes exclusive pet is not something we'd ever consider, because there'd be no point in doing that besides outraging players who've gotten it already. We did it with Herbiboar because the rate of the Herbiboar pet was bugged, and it was never meant to be obtainable from herblore. The House pet rates haven't changed at all in the past few years (probably since release), the only thing that changed was that we added the ability to get it from mahogany homes, and trading in curved/long bones. If you want better odds at getting the pet, here are some tips:
1. Have 200m experience in construction - this, as with most other Skilling Pets, will increase your chance to get the house pet by 15x.
2. Use pet drop scrolls.
3. Use a golden hammer - this increases your chances to get the house pet by 25%.
4. Build higher level objects in your home, or do higher level mahogany homes contracts. The multiplier is based on the level of the object you're building, so perhaps unsurprisingly, building higher level objects increases the chance for a pet.
At the end of the day, it is a very rare pet, and you may not get it until you reach 200m exp, or even after, but it is definitely possible to get it.

The reason we don't get into the numbers is because the calculations can get pretty complex and it just makes things more difficult to understand, but I'll try to provide some more information. There are two multiplicative steps, all of the factors "stack", but they're applied at different points in time.
The first multiplicative step is the skill multiplier (we're assuming you're building a piece of furniture here).
The skill variable is determined by the level requirement of what you're building, essentially you'll be between 0.25 and 0.55 for this value, 0.55 being a level 99 piece of furniture and 0.25 being a level 50 piece of furniture.
The golden hammer takes that rate and multiplies it by 25%. (If 0.55, it is now 0.6875)
Then this rate is multiplied by 0.0075, which is the actual house pet rate. (Following the previous value, 0.005156)
Our first multiplicative step is complete, this is the one that's unique to the House pet. The next step below applies to all pets (except boss pets).

Our secondary multiplier variable is 1.25x if you have a pet booster, and a further 10% or 15% for Immortal/Eternal donators. (Up to 1.35x here)

Lastly, if you have 200m XP, that rate is multiplied by 15x.

We can now take the first number we obtained (0.005156) and multiply it by our second multiplier (1.35x or 20.25x). So we either have (0.0069606) for those who don't have 200m XP, or (0.104409) if you do. Those are approximately the best rates for the House pet on a single action (on one single build action build).

The roll is between 0 and 100, so there's a ~1/1000 chance on a build if you have 200m XP and the very best boosts, or 1/15,000 chance with boosts and non-200m XP. Since you can build ~500 pieces of furniture per hour if your clicks are accurate, you have quite a few attempts to roll while training. The pet is meant to be rare, but if you have the proper boosts and 200m XP, it isn't entirely unattainable.

#490092 Add a "Buy x" option to shops

Posted by Not Shadow on 29 June 2024 - 08:31 PM

Dupe suggestion :

https://www.alora.io...items-in-shops/

https://www.alora.io...uy-more-option/

This was declined multiple times, I will however leave it this time.

Keep in mind that beside the buy 250 option we have, we can shift buy 50 with runelite, maybe add that also to your suggestion and we see if that option is doable might be an easier fix.

#489636 Completionist Cape / Monkey requirement proposals.

Posted by Not Shadow on 25 June 2024 - 11:57 AM

When can we expect Omicron to weight in on this conversation?

The quiver provides BiS stats, so either the comp cape is not the BIS cape (lacks range str and range att bonus), the comp cape gets the bonuses and no one needs to get a quiver (not happening), or we have multiple tiers of comp capes (definitely not happening), I know it's controversial, but anytime a new BIS cape comes out, it necessarily needs to be a requirement for the comp cape if it improves the cape stats. As a general rule though players should expect that if a new BIS max cape variant is coming out, that they'll need to earn that new max cape as a new requirement for the comp cape.

#488246 Tombs of Amascut QOL and changes

Posted by Not Shadow on 08 June 2024 - 07:31 AM

What is your suggestion?: Party Leader to start the puzzle rooms,

Adjust The Path of Apmeken (Monkey room), The path of Scabaras (Kephri puzzle).

"The Path of Apmeken (Monkey room)"

Recently OSRS added an adjustment to the money room to make it easy to clear,

First change was that the hp doesn't scale with Raid level or party size.

second change was that if the baboon is hit with the correct style it will one hit kill it.

*Only for the Brawler, Thrower and Mage, the others have very low hp anyway.

You can check them in the table below.

Spoiler

"The Path of Scabaras (Kephri room)"

For the Kephri puzzle room, some changes needs to be made to speed it up a little bit,

there's three changes, first the math puzzle.

The math puzzle in alora you have to stand on each tile in order to activate it.

Make each tile your character move across in the puzzle counts.
*When you're running, you skip one tile between each 3 tiles u run across*

Spoiler

Second the flip match tiles puzzle,

Please allow us to activate the tile as soon as our true tile reaches the tile and remove the wait between flipping them

Clip for reference,

last one is the pillar puzzle,

Standing on the stairs should not land any failing rock on you and weapons should have no cool down.

Spoiler

Lastly, make it that party Leader to start the puzzle rooms

Spoiler

Is this in OSRS?: Yes.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No.

How would this benefit Alora?: Will speed up the raid and allow smooth game play  :PepeLove:  :withlove:
