The superior gargoyle, Marble Gargoyle, has the 3 rolls on the gargoyle drop table, however the noted gold ore, gold bars, mithril bars, and steel bars all drop unnoted.
This would be a nice bug fix, as getting the superior is normally a benefit to the loot, but here its just inconvenient.
