I think it would be really nice to have a Bank Preset System so we can have PvM Preset, Pk Preset stuff like that! what do you guys think about that good idea or not?




#167351 Barrows Reward - Amount of Runes

Hey everyone, 

 

Currently, barrows gives a pathetic amount of runes, not even comparable to pre-Morytania hard diary amounts on OSRS. It would be nice to see this amount rise to at least post-diary amounts so that barrows becomes a great source of runes, as it should be. This change wouldn't effect normal players as they already have an infinite source of runes buyable from the magic shop. However, for an ironman this provides a PvM source for runes that is much more consistent than it currently is. 

 

This is a change that would make early to medium stage ironman accounts benefit more from the barrows grind (in much the same way having the Morytania hard diary benefits ironmen greatly in OSRS), rather than having to go craft all their runes anyway or rely on inconsistent rune drops from bosses or monsters for any future PvM endeavours.

#170839 Infernal and Dragon Pickaxe protecting over dragon scimitar

Although this can be annoying, this is actually how it is on OSRS. A Dragon Scimitar has a high-alch value of 60,000 coins, while the Infernal Pickaxe has a high-alch value of 59,800. Even the Dragon Pickaxe on it's own is 58,770 coins in terms of it's high-alch value. 

 

There is a reason there is a 'Risked Wealth' option on OSRS as well as Alora, it's to see what you risk when you're in the wilderness. As harsh as that may seem it's the players own fault for now knowing what they would protect in the case they died in the Wilderness, which is NOT a safe place to begin with.

#169683 Bump Up Topics Mod

Currently the Bump Up Topics mod here on the Alora forum has nothing it, such as a timer in order to use it again on the same thread/all threads. If I remember correctly, the Bump Up Topics mod has many options in its settings via Administration Control Panel, some being a timer and daily limit. 

 

I think there should be a timer in order to use the mod on your thread again - 6 hours per thread. If the option for the mod which I'm suggesting applies for all threads, then 3 hours. I also think here should be a daily limit - maybe 5. After-all, there is a popular rule of on forums only being allowed to bump the same thread every 24 hours.

 

I just feel the Bump Up Topics mod get abused here on the Alora forum, especially in the Staff Applications section. Everyone deserves for their threads - important ones mainly, to have a chance at being on the top/recognized, instead of having to "bump war", etc.

 

I may be coming across silly, I don't know, it's just the feeling/vibe I'm getting with the Bump Up Topics mod here around the Alora forum.

Mage Arena II

 

Requirements to start the quest:

 

75 Magic

Complete Mage Arena mini-quest

 

 

Step one:

 

To start the quest, speak to Kolodion in Mage Bank

He will ask you if you're enjoying the bloodshed, just skip through the dialogue and select:

Skip through the dialogue once again and select:

He will give you an Enchanted symbol that you're going to use in this quest.

Step two:

 

Gear up. You're going to need all three of the God staves. You can get them stepping into the Sparkling pool in Mage bank. When you're there, speak to the Chamber guardian and he will sell you the staves.

All three staves cost 84,000 coins each and 252,000 coins in total.

 

Here's the inventory and gear set-up that I used.

Of course, you can use any other set-up that you see fit, but keep in mind that if you're using Magic, only God staves will be effective against these demons.

Twisted bow is also very good to use against them. 

 

Here are the spells that you're going to need to use against these demons:

 

Demon of Light - Saradomin strike

Demon of Darkness - Flames of Zamorak

Demon of Balance - Claws of Guthix

 

All of the spells use the same runes, but you'll need to switch between the three staves.

 

Blood runes, Air runes & Fire runes as shown in the picture above.

 

Step three:

 

Now since you're done gearing up, go and kill the three demons. They aren't too hard to kill, but beware of PKers.

Always Protect from Magic when you're killing them.

The three demons are located across the Wilderness.

This map will show you where their potential spawn points will be. Green dots mark the spot.

This is where you'll also use the Enchanted symbol that Kolodion gave to you earlier. It will help you locate these three demons.

 

When you activate the symbol, it deals around 10 damage to you, so be careful.

It will tell you if it's cold, warm or very hot.

 

Cold means that you're not even close to the demon.

Warm means that you're getting close.

Finally, very hot means that you're in the right spot. Just move around a little and the demon will spawn once you activate the symbol once again.

 

Also, the demons frequently switch locations.

 

(Note: If the chatbox says you have a demon in your midst and there isn't, relog and re find the demon location)

 

Once you've managed to kill all three of the demons, you will be notified in the chatbox that you should go talk with Kolodion to finish the quest.

 

Keep in mind that the demons DO NOT drop their hearts when they are defeated unlike OSRS.

 

Step four:

 

Now that you've killed the demons, speak with Kolodion once again in Mage bank.

Skip through the dialogue and...

 

Congratulations! Quest complete!

To imbue the Zamorak, Saradomin or Guthix cape just bring 500k coins to Kolodion and use your preferred cape on him.

I'd like to make a small list of suggestions that hasn't been added yet.

 

 

Misc QoL

      Add/working Costume room (for storing Clue scroll/capes and more)
      Add the Angler's outfit (provides 2.5%+ bonus Fishing experience when worn) 
      Add the Rogues' outfit (while wearing pieces of the Rogues' armour there is a chance on getting twice the loot from an NPC, with the full Rogues'            outfit guaranteeing the loot).

      When you move your PoH portal (spawn loc) to a different location in your PoH, it'll still teleports back to your old PoH spawn loc and not the new.

        Add Barrows points to the points tab (under Pest Control points/Vote points etc)

Cerberus should be able to respawn like 8-12 seconds right after you kill it, this increases your kills an hour and more efficient to kill, same for the            Kraken.

 Able to autocast with the Ahrim's staff

 Able to autocast with the Iban's staff 

 Able to autocast with the Slayer's staff and being able to cast the Magic dart spell
 After you caught many Grey/Red/Black chinchompas, there's still no use for them. Let people carry them and kill the skeletons in the Ape Atoll Dungeon. This will get you a bunch of Ranging/Hitpoints experience and you don't have to throw them away.
 

 

Friends chat/Clan chat QoL

The rank you are in the clanchat should appear next to your name
