Hello there!

Welcome to Alora! If you're new to the private server, or have not played runescape in awhile (in my case over a decade), you may feel intimidated. Don't worry, I'll teach you what I know, and if my knowledge is lacking, my fellow Alorans will be sure to supplement further information!

First of all, it's helpful to know where everything is located in Edgeville, which is where the majority of players are likely to congregate.

Notable locations within Edgeville:

Teleport wizard in center of town - cities, monsters, skilling, dungeons, minigames

Everywhere you need to go basically

The Wise Old Man's house - when you max out a skill at level 99, you can purchase skill capes for 99,000g.

Located in the northwestern area of Edgeville.

The General Store (vendor npcs): clockwise from 6'oclock position

Shopkeeper - Potions, teleports, anti-dragon shield, cooked seafood i.e. sharks

Rasolo - Same as shopkeeper, but with the addition of basic melee and range gear (also includes ava's attractor, which helps pick up ranged ammo; next step is to get an ava's accumulator from the pest control minigame

Thessalia - very basic costumes, feel free to ignore this store as it has robes and prince costume

Zeke - basic melee gear (same as Rasolo so you can just go to Rasolo instead)

Aubury - mage gear, runes, runecrafting supplies

Lowe - basic range gear (ignore like zeke and go to Rasolo for most of your needs)

Bob - skilling supplies (mining, woodcutting, crafting)

Kagemeex - herbs

Hunting expert - hunting gear and supplies

Vanessa - farming supplies (seeds, shovels, rakes)

Gerraint - fishing supplies

Jgv5w1T.png

Thieving stalls - sell your stolen goods to Ali; check skill tab to check requirements

This is a good source of money for starting players if you don't mind clicking - 8mil/hr

Surgeon general Tafani - restores full hp

Altar - restores all prayer

Gypsy - talk to her to begin small minigame and fight monsters -> complete to use

the chest next to her and buy barrows gloves (right click "Buy-gloves Chest")

Altar of the Occult - switch magic between normal, ancient, and lunar

Log cabin located in western Edgeville:

Paul - Ironman npc

Makeover mage - change appearance

Combat master - lock your combat experience gain (useful for " combat pures" who only want to raise certain levels and don't want to gain them while pking or "skill pures" who only want to focus on other skills; you may want to stay lvl 3 if you want to go to the resource area for extra experience gain in the wild, but keep in mind there is an entry fee of 10k plus additional gold to note your invo with the resident npc)

You can also reset experience in one skill, but it costs 1.5m

The BANK, eastern Edgeville

EVERYONE'S FAVORITE PLACE - I would live in the bank vault if I could surrounded by all my treasures

Account Guardian - gray golem npc where you can set your 2FA protection (look on forums for account protection guides)

Trading Post - equivalent of grand exchange; it's kinda of hard to see, but it's the totem pole in the western side of the bank; I can't believe I didn't know where it was even after 3 days of starting here lol

Donation manager - exclusively for donators

9ZwHZa3.png

Southern building:

Achievement manager - spend your achievement points for items such as bonecrusher, varrok armor 4 (mining) and karamja gloves

Probita - sometimes you get a pet from leveling your skills (beaver for woodcutting, racoon for thieving) and you can insure it if you die, but it's expensive, like 10m (so keep it in your bank)

It seems like common sense not to bring your pet when fighting tough monsters, but if you die with your pet following you around, then hey, this is the person you're looking for

Voting manager - spend your voting points and get a voting book from the authentication code you get

(you can also get ava's accumulator for 40 points here, but go to pest control for that; other notable items are fighter torso, dragon defender, coal bag)

Bob Barter - herbs, decantering

Eve5yI4.png

Also useful to know (southern building):

Lever for transporting you to wilderness resource area, which gives 1.5xp rates ( after teleporting head northeast to get there)

Lost item manager - getting back your untradeables upon death

Yews for woodcutting

Just to give you a general idea of what you can achieve within a week: my invo after 6 days

Thanks for the guide. :)

We've already had an Edgeville map guide, however your is more detailed, finished and explained better.

Good job, would love to see more guides from you in the future!

Very detailed. Yet again... in the pictures, @Polton is chilling next to the homie guardian.

Like diva said there's already a similar one.
But this is more explained and detailed.
I also like that you have linked my, senpai and jace his guide so players can get more detailed in specific guides.

Good job.

I've never seen the point in guides such as this, but then again I've been playing Runescape and private servers on and off for over 10 years now, so I imagine that it would help someone fairly new to the scene.
