What is your suggestion?: Currently the Trident of the Seas takes scales instead of runes, but I suggest switching it to runes. (or giving the OPTION to charge it with runes or scales.)

 

 

Is this in OSRS?: Yes. In OSRS, only the swamp trident requires scales.

 

 

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No.

 

 

How would this benefit Alora?: As far as I know, Ironmen don't really have a way of obtaining mass scales, so as it stands, I'm opting for the Warped Sceptre and saving my scales for blowpipe, making the trident of the seas generally obsolete.

 

I think ironmen can get the mass runes much easier than scales for the trident, so they're being crippled by the scale charges.

Support. This is especially helpful for mobile players who can’t get a lot of PvM time in to farm zulrah like myself.

I support the option to choose either scales or runes, with or without the gp cost, like osrs. While you can obtain scales fairly-ish quickly killing zulrah with lesser gear or fishing sacred eels, providing the option to choose would be a good solution

From my experience most players seem to like the way it is now, but I don't see any issue with providing the option to charge it with runes instead.

Support on giving an option to do such. Personally i do think its very easy to get zulrah scales few kills and youre set for awhile with the trident

@Satan Smash I hear you, but my problem is I don't really have any reason to fight Zulrah after getting the rare drops, so it's just another thing I have to go back and do whereas I can buy the required runes in bulk. Ideally the option would be nice though.

@Pilc VI  You can also just fish for zulrah scales not far from where you enter zulrah

Sounds like you've been hella spooned on your Zulrah drops because I have enough scales to feed a handful of blowpipes and tridents. Also, at that point, just do 10 minutes of Zulrah and you'd have enough charges for a day. 
I'm not against adding rune charges, I just think most players are fine with how it is.

@93 True, I did get spooned, but even if I didn't, it's not gonna last forever. You burn through 5000 BP shots before you know it.

I actually prefer scales over runes, scales are significantly easier to maintain and obtain with a few zulrah scales imo

@Variant Irons can buy bulk runes pretty easily. It's 1 chaos, 1 death, and 5 fires.

Rather save my gp and runes, and just kill zulrah a hand full of times to easily recharge and potential unlocks, and I'd be needing to kill zulrah regardless, blowpipe imo is a natural next step after, or before, trident. regardless, if it makes others happy I don't mind both being an option

SUPPORT for giving the OPTION to add runes instead of scales to the base trident but not as an outright replacement. also stating that zulrah scales are hard to get on ironman is honestly an untrue statement. go and kill zulrah a handful of times like multiple people have suggested. not needing the drops from zulrah is irrelevent, your playing ironman, its the nature of the game mode.

Support, I'm willing to bet if a newbie cant easily do Zulrah this would be extremely frustrating.
