Today’s update is short and sweet to release the birthday event to commemorate our 8th year of uptime! Today marks an incredible milestone for our community, and we simply could not have be here without every single one of you. What started as a passion project has grown into an extraordinary community that truly feels like a family and a second home for many of us. Whether you’ve just joined a month ago or have been with us for the entire ride, thank you for your support and being a part of this adventure — here’s to many more years of Alora! 
The drop party begins in less than two hours, so please do not miss it! There are plenty of items for you to have a chance at, so head over to ::event around 3pm EST.

- Veteran Reward:
- For our players who have been around with us for the long haul, we’ve added the 5-year Veteran item: the Lava cape.
- This unique cape can only be purchased from Hans by players whose registration date is at least 5 years ago, and for a purchase price of 25m GP.

- Smithing pet:
- Smith’ers is here! When it comes to Skilling pets, the Smithing skill has long been neglected — but no more.
- Made of nothing but pure metal and wood, Smith’ers can be obtained during any smithing action, as well as the following activities:
- Fixing struts in Motherlode mine
- Creating items via Singing bowl
- Smithing bars in Blast Furnace
- Using the Superheat spell
- The rate is similar to the House pet from Construction (but a bit easier), and using a Golden hammer (or even having one in the bank) will increase your chance of obtaining it by 25%.
- Made of nothing but pure metal and wood, Smith’ers can be obtained during any smithing action, as well as the following activities:

- Leagues Slayer Shop:
- League players now have access to a limited slayer shop with discounted prices.
- Players must have the Morytania region unlocked to purchase the Salve amulet (e).

- Mobile fixes:
- Mobile stability has been improved, fixing multiple bugs that were causing crashes previously. We wanted to ensure that this would not be an issue for the upcoming Annivesrary drop party.
- For example, crashing in the following two areas:
- Pumpkin patch field would always cause a crash if you zoomed out far enough.
- During events when there are many monsters and bosses at ::events, your game would freeze or crash.

- Mobile stability has been improved, fixing multiple bugs that were causing crashes previously. We wanted to ensure that this would not be an issue for the upcoming Annivesrary drop party.
- Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug with the bank tags plugin not allowing players to drag items into the bank tags.
- Fixed a bug where the "Defeat a superior foe" league task would only complete after defeating 2 superiors.
- Verac the defiled's damage will now be reduced by 35% if the player is protecting from melee.
- Fixed a bug where the Araxxor pet drop rate was too low.
- Mining/woodcutting/Cooking will no longer close the leagues task interface.
- Fixed a bug where the scroll arrows on the leagues task interface wouldn’t work properly.
- League:
- Weapon Specialist perk fixes:
- Will no longer drain more than 20% when using Keris Partisan of Sun special attack.
- Special attacks that use up 100% of Special energy now use up 20% as intended. (Dragon pickaxe, Crystal harpoon, Staff of the dead, Dragon battleaxe)
- Noxious halberd special attack will now use 20% instead of 50%.
- The liquid adrenaline special attack reduction will now also apply to weapon specialist if by reducing the minimum threshold of 20% to 10%.
- Weapon Specialist perk fixes:
- Fixed a bug where the "Can be clicked through" chatbox option would also click through the scrollbar.
- The rainbow color effect will now apply when players are performing all animations.
