This would result in a significant waste of development resources, staff time, and financial investment. The advantages of this approach would not be nearly as substantial as some individuals here seem to think.
Omicron would need to heavily invest in advertising and provide both IRL and in-game rewards upon release to attract both current and new players. Omicron would also need to minimise the offerings in the store; otherwise, the purpose of introducing a fresh world would be undermined if players could immediately purchase items such as barrows, godswords, and mystery boxes from the get-go.
Most RSPS players are no longer jumping between RSPS and OSRS as frequently as in previous years. And the number of players in the RSPS scene has undoubtedly slackened off compared to previous years. I would say that there are currently no more than 5,000 players actively in the RSPS community. It is also important to consider the misleading player count multipliers on many RSPS, which can range from 1.2 to 1.5 times the actual number. While 5,000 might seem like a huge figure, it really isn’t that impressive. Many RSPS players are really into their iron man game mode and are pretty loyal to the servers they are currently playing on.
Unless your full-time job is Alora, no one is going to compete on the hiscores. A lot of us have full-time jobs, and some are also managing family responsibilities or raising children. If anything, only a small number may consider taking time off work if the incentives are appealing. How many players will leave or return to the main game once the big rewards for being the first to achieve this or obtain that have been claimed? You also have to consider that the vast majority of Alora's community are veteran iron men, making it unlikely that they would abandon hundreds of hours of dedication, only to start anew. There will be no PvP interactions or gambling available for the normies... Maybe they will have the opportunity to earn some quick gp by exchanging currency between different worlds. And I really feel like it might be a struggle to bring in fresh faces from outside the Alora scene.
Once the initial excitement of the early game wears off and all the rewards have been snagged, the fresh world will start to lose its spark and will die.
