Hello everyone,

 

With Alora's 8th(!) anniversary approaching us, I thought it may be a good time to bring back something that hasn't been done in a very long time, and that is a Q&A with @Omicron .

The last time we had something similar to this was all the way back in 2019 with the help of Lowkey. A lot has changed since then(@Moe didn't have back problems, etc) so it's a good idea to get some fresh answers.

 

How it works

This time we plan to do a text Q&A, rather than a livestream. It will be formatted identically to the ones you see in Alora Newspapers. The plan is simple; you ask questions, either down below in the replies or in my forum/discord pms, and during the November Newspaper edition you'll be able to read the answers. If you would like to be anonymous, please let me know in your message.

 

Please note that any questions related to appeals, reports, suggestions and so on will be ignored. Troll questions will also be ignored. Omicron may also choose to not answer questions, so don't be sad if you don't see your question answered.

Are there any potential plans to try and populate the PK scene of alora? I understand its mostly down to the players choosing to enter the wild but maybe an actual bounty hunter arena like osrs?

How soon after OSRS Leagues (Nov. 27th) will Alora Leagues come out?  We seem to lag behind OSRS content updates, understandably so with a smaller dev team however, has there been any consideration to adding a dev to help streamline the 1:1 content with OSRS we strive for here? Thank you!

1. With the news of jagex potentially releasing their own version of private servers, how do you intend to keep people interested in Alora?
2. If Alora were to shutdown for whatever reason, how much notice would you provide the player base?
3. Has there ever been a suggestion that you wanted to implement but didn't? If so, what was it and why?
4. When a suggestion is receiving an equal amount of support for and against it, how do you determine if you're going to implement it or not?
5. How feasible would it be to bring a third developer on board to shorten time between updates?

whats Omicrons thoughts of Jagex's project Zaniris and how does he plan to keep Alora alive when it comes to competing with a Jagex backed private server? 

 

also it looks like jagex is slowly moving to remove runelite as an option to play osrs, and we know that when runelite is down for osrs it's down for alora. when jagex officially removes runelite as an option and we lose it for us, how do you plan to update the main client if jagex is most likely going to close source a lot of information?

Although I also want to know, i think the larger factors and required info is donator rank and points per raid (id assume).

Personally I'd like to see it for $2500, $5k, $10k, and $20k rank at 8k points per raid if he was gana give specifics.

im struggling to make pancakes for my son that are light and fluffy. they seem to come out a little flat and dry. my question is what ratio of eggs, flour and milk would be good to make a viable pancake thats worth consuming?
