Currently there are daily tasks that ask you to burn 150 logs of a certain type. The logs burned via bonfire don't count toward this daily task goal.

Support!  Bonfires need more love!  Firemaking is currently the worst freaking skill.

 

Imagine smithing darts but you need to re-interface after every bar...

then being hit with a 66% reduction in xp if you choose to use the 'smith all' option

 

That's how dumb bonfires are right now.
