What is your suggestion?

Adding a temporary game mode similar to OSRS's 'fresh start worlds' after Omicron releases a buy option on the trading post.

Reason:

After speaking with Omicron, he says that adding a buy option to the trading post is already in the works and only needs further bug testing before release. I think these fresh start accounts would be a really fun event for players to experience the server as a new with a buy and sell option on the trading post.

How they fresh start accounts will work:

Players who make a fresh start account will have their own separate economy for a fixed amount of time, after that they will be merged to the normie eco, they cannot accept items such as boosters or vote books from the main game, but bonds may be debatable (though technically they could just use a bond to buy boosters? idk, whatever the players want really). Donator status transfers I'd assume would just follow the same way we currently do Leagues (I honestly don't know how it's done). Also players may use a normie for things like tanking at GWD or dolo content (ONLY if this is allowed on our Leagues)

This will NOT take priority over any planned Leaugues or content (such as Araxxor), and would only happen after buy options are added to Alora's TP.

Rewards:

We could give out prizes for players to be the first in certain things similar to our Leagues. First Tbow, scythe, shadow, infernal cape, colosseum completion, max account, comped account, etc etc.

Rewards can be in game things, and players who participate could possibly get a forum award as a fresh start participant.

i would imagine a lot of well established players (like myself) would play for 3 main reasons.
1. a break from the regular grind.
2. rewards
3. experience alora as if it was just released (new eco) while knowing the game and content to be good at it

This is pretty much how I feel about it too. Never been a huge fan of restarting an account, unless it's a leagues style game mode with even more boosted xp rates, and drops rates, etc. Not personally a huge fan of the idea, but so long as it were to not interfere with other upcoming updates, then I suppose I wouldn't mind it. I'm kinda neutral on this, but leaning more towards support than no support.

I feel the idea of fresh starts on an rsps are a little redundant considering how easily accessible everything is on a server. I think maybe it'd be cool for cosmetic rewards like in rs3 (for example, inverted skill capes, etc), but I'd probably pass imo.

Leagues V is expected to be introduced in the main game next month, I would prefer to see it released as a new update during the Christmas holidays rather than the suggestion you have presented.

No Support from me. 

Leagues isn't just a new account. It's a new account in a locked area with specific unlocks and grinds that make it interesting. On top of that you're competing for prizes like a fucking PS5 & IRL rewards. If a new game mode like that were to be added--even though there are already a lot of modes to choose from--Omi would be in a situation to find new rewards and incentives to make the dev time worth it.

In the future I wouldn't mind seeing new modes being added. I just don't feel the hype or excitement of making a new account just to simply experience a new economy.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing a fresh world and start grinding again, but probably would die up quickly etc and lack of players as majority of the community has no interest grinding  again.

I don’t think there much on an appetite for this, especially if it’s temporary.

Would definitely prefer to see leagues more often than grinding the exact same thing I could do just by starting a brand new account.

no support, i dont feel like grinding all over again for no reason when i have alot to grind already.

 

but if somes want this its up to you boys :) just my opinion

 

id rather see another leagues instead like stated above.
