Hey all! Stumbled upon this server and been loving the return to RS. Having a lot of fun relearning the game. I’m maxed on my combat skills now and just went to get my D defender. I’m wanting to grind out slayer and get into PvM which I’ve never done before. Could someone hook with up with an optimal melee setup. Or maybe a progression of gear I should aim for. As of right now, I’m rocking a d scimmy and d defender with mix of rune and dragon armor. Thanks for any help! Appreciate you guys. Feel free to add me in game BetOnTheFett

Hi, first and foremost, welcome to Alora! Each bosses pvm varies in the melee setup you need. The most basic progression would be regular whip > tent whip > rapier > fang > scythe. As said it depends on what you are doing. You can visit the guide section. Each bosses guide shows the gear you need.

I would suggest as a new player, and gearing etc begin with Slayer/Thiev for cash/drops if you haven't already got gp to buy gear etc.

Do some Barrows for better gear over rune gear, or if you can manage to find a group, grind out void/elite void as you'll need it for when you hit raiding etc, it all really comes down to what content you're wanting/setting goals to achieve for determining gear wise really. I would aim for buying a whip/get 87 slayer for abby tasks and get one to replace d scimmy if you haven't got the couple mill for a whip.

 

I can help you with grinding specific things once I level this Elite IM account up more, or help you PvM/Boss down the road eventually, hope you're loving the server so far -  hope to see you/people around in-game more; if you want my IGN is same as here.

Do you have to have any certain iOS to play on an iPad. I have an iPad Air software 12.5.7. Should I be able to run it? It loads then says there is an error every time and reloads. Any ideas?
