Hello everyone,
We hope your summer has been going well so far! We’re here to make it just a little better with another update. Primarily, we’ve been hard at work getting in all of the Combat Rebalancing updates that OSRS recently released, and you can now enjoy those on Alora as well. Aside from these, we’ve added Colosseum Training Tickets to allow players to practice the final battle, and we’ve also added bonus Sunfire Splinters based on your donator rank. The Drop Table Viewer has been reworked as well, allowing you to see exactly where to find a specific NPC in the world, and clicking that location will open it up for you on the world map to make it even easier to get there! Aside from this, we’ve got a boatload of bug fixes and QOLs, ranging from easier Bingo, a built-in Thammaron scepter spell, numerous HD fixes and much more.
- Website updates:
- Bug fixes:
- We’ve fixed an issue that was causing the "503 Service Unavailable" error page that frequently appeared on the website.
- Hiscores update:
- The following bosses will now have their kill counts shown on the hiscores:
- Vardorvis, Duke Sucellus, The Leviathan, The Whisperer
- All of their Awakened counts will be shown as well.
- Sol Heredit
- Vardorvis, Duke Sucellus, The Leviathan, The Whisperer
- The following bosses will now have their kill counts shown on the hiscores:
- Bug fixes:
- Combat Rebalancing:
- Removed the attack delay when attacking npc's while auto-casting spells.
- Path of Apmeken Changes:
- The health of the baboons will no longer scale with raid level or team size.
- The following changes to baboon brawlers/throwers/mages have been changed for both variants of each npc:
- Baboon Brawler: 25 HP and 30 HP. Always max hit by Magic.
- Baboon Thrower: 30 HP and 35 HP. Always max hit by Melee.
- Baboon Mage: 20 HP and 25 HP. Always max hit by Ranged.
- Prayer Changes:
- Reduced the Prayer drain rate for Thick Skin, Burst of Strength and Clarity of Thoughts, Sharp Eye and Mystic Will from 5 to 1.67 points per minute. Effectively, they should drain at a third of the speed they used to.
- Sharp Eye and Burst of Strength now boost your Ranged and Strength by 1 level respectively, if those levels are lower than 20.
- This is not a visible change, and just applies to the max hit calculation.
- Necromancers in Kourend now drop the cursed amulet of magic.
- This amulet gives the wearer a -80% magic damage bonus.
- The ‘Minimum hit' has been adjusted. Now, if you pass an Accuracy check, any damage rolls of 0 are boosted up to 1. So, if your max hit is 3, you can roll 1, 1, 2 or 3 for damage.
- Please note that players can still hit 0’s by failing accuracy checks.
- Soulreaper Axe Changes:
- The Axe stacks will now disappear after 20 ticks without attacking, up from 10.
- The Axe stack depletion will now heal players for 8 hp for each stack lost.
- This applies as long as the axe is equipped or in the player’s inventory, otherwise all stacks are lost.
- The Axe stacks will no longer disappear when unequipping the axe.
- Elder Maul Special Attack:
- The elder maul now has a special attack that consumes 50% special attack energy.
- This special attack hits with 25% increased accuracy, and reduces the target’s defence level by 35% on a successful hit.
- The elder maul now has a special attack that consumes 50% special attack energy.
- Full Inquisitor Effect:
- The inquisitors 2.5% bonus damage/accuracy when using the crush style will now be tripled (7.5%) when the inquisitor’s mace is also equipped with the full set.
- Ancient Godsword Special Attack Change:
- Healing from a successful Blood Sacrifice now heals for 15% of the target's maximum HP, up to a cap of 25 HP.
- Ranged Defence Types:
- Some NPC’s now have specific weakness to certain ammo types.
- There are 3 new ammo categories:
- Heavy: Bolts/Javelins
- Standard: Arrows, includes the Bow of Faerdhinen, crystal bow, etc…
- Light: Darts/Knives/Thrownaxes
- Most NPC’s still share the same range defence values for light/heavy/standard, except for the ones listed in the spreadsheet above.
- If the npc is attacked by a player using a type of ammunition mentioned above, the npc’s ranged defence value corresponding to that ammunition will be used to calculate its ranged defence.
- So for some npc’s using bolts will result in higher accuracy if they have lower heavy ranged defence.
- If the npc is attacked by a player using a type of ammunition mentioned above, the npc’s ranged defence value corresponding to that ammunition will be used to calculate its ranged defence.
- Elemental spell changes:
- Elemental Weakness:
- Various NPC types are now weak to specific elemental types of magic.

- Various NPC types are now weak to specific elemental types of magic.
- Elemental spell scaling:
- The max hit of an elemental spell is now the that of the highest level elemental spell (of that type) that the user has the magic level to cast.
- For example, at level 1, the max hit of wind strike is 2, as it always was, but at level 13, the max hit of wind strike becomes 8, since that is the max hit of fire strike, and the player has the magic level to cast both spells.
- The tome of fire and tome of water now only deal 10% extra damage against npc’s, down from 50% and 20% respectively.
- They still deal 50%/20% against players.
- The max hit of an elemental spell is now the that of the highest level elemental spell (of that type) that the user has the magic level to cast.
