What is your suggestion?:

Buff Bliserwood Flail to make it actually useful at Vyres

Is this in OSRS?:

Kinda? Cant kill vyres without it

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

How would this benefit Alora?:

Buffing the flail to actually be worthwhile using at Vyres would make it an actual useful weapon, aside from just a master clue step that you can just always skip with Sherlock notes. It'd be nice to buff it's damage towards Vampires/Vyres like how Arclight is with demons, and salve is with undead. Unsure if there is actually that effect on the flail already, but if it is, it's currently less DPS than a regular whip. For something that can take a fair amount of time to acquire, specifically on an iron, it should actually be useful.

 

I'm not asking for any insane buff here btw, just enough to bring it more in line with arclight/salve and their respected vulnerable mobs. Currently it's pretty much just a worthless item that no one really has much desire to get aside from the clue step.

I think the simple fix to this would be, now it would nerf the afk farming of vyres, but would give purpose to the flail and an actual use on Alora, forcing the grind of pyramid plunder to be able to kill vyres again instead of pickpocketing. We always talk about being as in-line with osrs and its mechanics, so why not this?
 

As with all members of the Vyrewatch, they can only be harmed with the ivandis flail or blisterwood flail. Despite being invulnerable to any damage from weapons like the Saradomin godsword and Ancient Mace, special attacks will still heal & restore prayer points as if they would have dealt damage.

Or make it same damage, but if you are killing Vyres with Blisterwood flail, whenever you get blood shard drop - you get two, like pickpocketing with full rogues? :)

Things locked behind grinds should have a purpose.  

Otherwise, there's less incentive to do the grind.

I like MHU's suggestion about getting 2x bloodshards if they were killed with only blisterwood flail

 

But also generally support this post. I wouldn't want other weapons to be useless there like it is on OSRS, but blissterwood should be more useful than a tent whip.

Support, making the weapons more in line with Oldschool is logical, especially when you have to grind for it.

Some might not like it, but reducing damage that vampyres take from all weapons to like 25%(or even 0) would probably be the move here.

On OSRS Vyres can only be damaged with either the Ivandis flail or Blisterwood flail, so.

 

Another QOL would be to change the blisterwood flail drop rate from 1/1,000 from golden chests/sarcophagus to 1/200(or even less) which would make it more accessible and revive pyramid plunder a little.

 

Not a fan of the 2x blood shard while wearing flail idea above.

I was going to suggest halving the damage from other weapons so they can still be used, however it's more enticing to get a flail instead. With that tho, I think the flail should be buffed a bit too on top of it, because as I said before, it's worse dps than just a whip. Class specific mobs with weaknesses get shredded by their respected items that buff damage towards them, it'd be nice to apply that to flail as well :D
