Leave Nightmare Bonus On - until next update

How would this benefit Alora?:

Nightmare drop rates just got buffed in the last update and the 

combat rebalances part 2 (elemental weaknesses + inquisitor set boost) are coming in the next update

I suggest leaving the bonus on to encourage players to do nightmare

1. to test the adjusted drop rates to see if they're reasonable enough for an RSPS (in terms of expected hours / drop)

2. to prepare and get excited for combat rebalances coming to Alora

3. to take a break from getting smacked around at the colosseum (while we wait for the accuracy to be adjusted) 

 

What's the worst thing that could happen?  

We get more inquisitor's gear, staves and orbs into the game?

Either way it still maths out to way too many hours for each expected nightmare drop.

More drops = more fun = more happy players = more donation $

That is a quite stupid solution.

If anything just buff the rate, rather than have bonus on 24/7.

As stated above this doesn't really make sense. Boosted rates already serve as encouragement for players to do it, there's no need to push a boss so much.

Just to be clear, the nightmare drop rates were more so adjusted to match OSRS (along with the standard Alora boost that's applied to all monsters).

 

It's really more of as a fix rather than a direct boost.  That's why I think it would be both beneficial and more exciting if nightmare bonus was left on for a time.  Since nightmare takes hours and hours for 1 expected drop, it's helpful to leave it on longer.  Plus, this way players from different time zones get to benefit from it.  

 

Like gauntlet boost, cox boost, and tob boost -> nightmare boost gives people extra motivation to do an activity.

It wouldn't hurt to test what the drop rates are like with nightmare boost on and players actively running it with their drop boosters and rank boosts.

If you want to buff the drop rate -> you need evidence/proof that the drop rate is still too low (in terms of too much time per expected drop)

 

To have evidence, you need multiple trials and players to be actively running nightmare.  

 

To get players to run nightmare, it helps if the bonus is on, especially when you're making teams (for example team cox and team tob are a lot more likely to happen when bonus is on).

I think we kind of had the update for drop rates in the last update for Nightmare :)

We should be fine with that, ain't we?
