Therefor, I suggest reducing the extract cost of scar essence mine, so that it's worth player's time to do - otherwise it'll be dead content.  

 

My recommendation - 50% reduction.

Support, maybe not a 50% reduction but a little above shop price would fit perfectly with the activity as it was suggested into the game because of shop hopping and we dont have multiple worlds like os.

I don't play Osrs so the below example is based on the wiki:

 

Blood runes cost on average from shops - 500 gp

Blood runes cost via scar essence mine - 400 gp

 

On Alora, based on your shared chart:

 

Blood runes cost on average from shops - 1000 gp

Blood runes cost via scar essence mine - 1600 gp

 

Based on this alone, maybe a 50% reduction in charge for creation of runes via scar essence mine is needed.

 

I know cash is easier to come by on Alora but maybe if we can play around those percentages it would be much cooler than the current price difference.

As someone who just spent 250m on Scarred extract I support this. They are so expensive but the runes are essential for any endgame iron to have in bulk. Personally I hate shops having a cap on an RSPS and that's why I used Scar mine even though it was more expensive. Waiting for shops to restock is just the worst.

I was disappointed to see the rune cost be 1600 each with Scarred extracts and I would love to see it be lowered to the shop price or slightly higher. 50% reduction is unfortunately never going to happen. Not sure why but lower rune cost has been suggested before and denied every time.

Definitely support this. Just a small QOL and if it matches OSRS then it definitely should be added.

50% reduction is unfortunately never going to happen

 

 

1,600 gp / blood rune -> 50% reduction -> 800 gp / blood rune

Considering that shops sell blood runes for 1k each, it makes sense to have scar essence cost slightly under shop prices.  

This would encourage players to runecraft their own runes rather than run to every single mage shop to buy out the stock.

 

If you do 40% reduction -> 960 gp / blood rune (which saves you 40 gp / blood rune -> not significant enough to warrant the scar essense mining time)

 

If you do 30% reduction -> 1,120 gp / blood rune (which is more than shop prices -> pointless)

 

Therefor, I recommend starting at a 50% reduction.
