What is your suggestion?:

Implementation of additional layers to Shooting Stars or perhaps another variation of the star that ONLY gives star dust but last much longer.

Not that I can find, but I could be wrong. 

How would this benefit Alora?:

Right now the most dust you can get per star is 1k if you mine it solo. Many times, you get between 100-200 if people show up. This would be great content for early ironmen or players looking for a more afk mining experience.

I for sure support this, I've been doing the shooting star lately and pretty much I need to bank stand to get a chance at getting the dust.

 

Having layers would be awesome just like OSRS.

Needing to mine stars for stardust keeps people more engaged in the game. You can also set up a mahogany telescope in your Study (POH) to track down to the minute when the next stars will be. Just set a timer so you never miss a star. It really doesn't take THAT long to complete the log. Also, there are more often than not EMPTY fallen stars in wildy. I've gone to several and been the only person there.

I completely agree that wildy stars can be the best choice of action for gaining more than like 150-200 stardust on a star. But if you hit every star throughout the day you're still barely pushing 1k-2k stardust (That's assuming you get lucky on wildy stars). Many times, the stars are 2 1/2 hours apart, and you get like 150 stardust. When it comes to engagement, I feel adding more durability will only increase star engagement. More people will be willing to attempt to go to the star if they think they have a chance to mine it. If you're even 20 seconds late now it usually doesn't feel worth going for it. Now, the issue I have has nothing to do with the log. I agree that the log isn't too bad to complete. But gem bags are the main focus of the dust usage I wanted to address. Right now, it takes 1-2 stars PER gem bag. That's a lot of effort for 40 gems you can just mine from gem rocks in 1 1/2 minutes. 

 

I understand that the stars currently give items besides stardust so without removing those it would be considered op. But besides lower level ironmen who needs rune scimmies, dscimmies, and the other items? The uncut diamonds are great, but with more dust you'd get more gem bags as well.

Support. Definitely needs a change. Usually get 150-200 would be nice to get a bit more out of each star.
