Gives the players a place to vote for what big update they would like to see get put into game first that week. I'd prefer a poll on home page by being logged in to vote and the cut off day would be listed so people would know to vote. We could see more major changes beforehand and it would be a good way to clean up the suggestions forums. Gives the players a voice.

A shotbox announcement wouldn't be too bad. I'm suprised you didn't see it considering it was in the "Official" forum which is usually the first forum players tend to look at.
