What is your suggestion?:

Buff the drop rate of nihil shards, or add another way to get them (e.g. vote/slayer shop).

I think it would be awesome if nihil shards were a guaranteed Nex drop. Something like a minimum of one shard per kill?

No. I checked on the forums, and I haven't seen this suggested at all, and I certainly haven't seen it accepted.

 

How would this benefit Alora?

Currently, I think nihil shards take too much time to gather. In 162 nex kc, I've only managed to gather 106 nihil shards.

And fighting minions, I've only managed to get a single drop of 4 nihil shards in 200+ kc.

 

At that rate, it would take about 400 nex kc to gather enough nihil shards to make a zbow, and plenty more if I want to make any ancient brews. That just doesn't seem reasonable to me.

Having said that, I can see why people wouldn't want to buff this, so I supposed this suggestion is partly just meant to start a conversation. What do you think? Should nihil shards be easier to obtain?

All RNG, took me just over 100 to get the shards to make a zbow. Don't particularly think this needs buffing.

No support, much like others said, shards are so easy to obtain if you do the content for them and you can even get them killing the minions.

I have around 2000 nihil shards in 1000 kc. The amount of nihil shards you get/kill depend on your participation. 

 

I personally think the droprate is fine.

I have to agree with everyone else. I did my first 50kc in masses, and obtained roughly 25 shards.

All the rest of my killcount has been in 3-5 man and have roughly had around 180 in under 100kc.

At the end of the day it does come down to RNG and participation. I would highly recommend trying some 4/5 man nex and see if this changes!
