It might not be as much RNG as you think. If the room only allows for X NPCs to spawn, you may be able to control the pace of the Nylo spawns by leaving X-1 nylos of the same type (which you pray against). This way you are only getting 1 new randomly spawned nylo at a time.
Also, I haven't had a chance to try out the new TOB mechanics yet, so my apologies if this no longer works any more.
Here's a side thought...
Since there are so many new TOB mechanics (and ways for players to fail), I think it would be fitting to also imrpove the TOB drop rates...
Just the standard OSRS -> Alora buff (similar to how Nex rates were buffed on Alora)
Currently, the TOB drop rates are notoriously bad.
Out of 600 completions -> ~300 hours of playtime (not including failed attempts) -> 12.5 days of playtime -> how many TOB weapon drops did I get? 2 sangs
That's with extra rolls/drop boost from Uber and switching over to hard mode on release.
By the way, hard mode doesn't even improve the rates of TOB weapons.
Take a look at the drop breakdown.
On both regular and hard mode, scythe is 1/19 while staff/rapier are 2/19.
The main difference is... the rate of avernic hilts goes down from 8/19 to 5/19, while each justiciar piece goes up from 2/19 to 3/19.
Note - the rate of purps is slightly higher 9.1 -> 7.7... meaning you'll be able to spin the wheel more often if you do HM.
That's where I think the drop rate should be OSRS to Alora adjusted.
By the way, for those of you that complain buffing drop rates ruins ecos... blah blah blah.
From September 2022 - end of 2022, we had 18 TOB drops enter the game through ultimate mystery boxes.
Check it out for yourselves. A good chunk of TOB weapons in the normie economy are spawned into the game from boxes.
Improving the TOB weapon rates from the legitimate game source isn't going to be bad for the game... any more than spawning them from boxes.
