What is your suggestion?:

Buff the Scyhe of Vitur and make it do like 30-40% more dps

Is this in OSRS?:

For bosses such as Verzik pretty much yes. Scythe should be way stronger than twisted bow against certain monsters weak to slash.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

-

How would this benefit Alora?:

This would make mele viable as everyone uses tbows everywhere.

I am a big supporter of this, although it might be hard to balance out with alora's combat system

My thoughts are the same as Mufasa's. Would be super nice but getting it to balance with our combat system.

Support.

no support, you're trolling right? the main issue you should be suggesting here is nerfing elite void and tbow.

Not trolling, I think scythe should be the best weapon ingame against targets with low slash defence.

Currently it's only slightly better then arma+blowpipe or rapier for instance.

Furthermore here on Alora he have other weapons such as Tumeken's shadow and rapier nearly performing as well as scythe against pestilent bloat.

at bloat scythe definitely preforms better by a mile. but you're proving my point again by saying that. Don't think scythe is the issue, just general accuracy coding.

Agreed with Logan. Scythe rips is just an accuracy thing with other items. Void with BP performs just as well as end game content. Hard to balance with aloras system.

I'd be down to nerf void/tbow instead, but that will likely never happedn.. But definetly not buffing Scythe.

Twisted bow should probably be nerfed to do less damage at some places, rather than Scythe of Vitur getting a buff like you're suggesting.

If we take Verzik as an example:

Verzik's highest defensive stat is ranged, yet on Alora the meta is to use a twisted bow which makes no sense when you look at the stats.

Which brings us back to every post about buffing endgame items.

The only way to realisticly fix those items is by giving the initial raid buff (that was there way back) to ALL endgame items. Even something as simple as giving those weapons a 10% max damage increase (Not even touching accuracy, and maybe make the defensive weighting in raid higher would probably resolve the meta shifting to weaknesses rather than pure tbow)

Because lets be honest, a whip/blowpipe setup will do the trick just as good in most scenarios. And by doing the raid buff we do not have to nerf early weapons which now make the early game RSPS standard, while still incentivicing people to grind/buy/get those big ticket items.

If taking the raid buff approach (Osmumten fang will truely outshine the rapier in ToA as it will truely capitalise on the increased damage and would give that item purpose, cus from what i've heard its still quite underwelming in ToA)

I'm mainly talking about:

Inq mace, Nightmare staves, Rapier, Osmumten, Bowfa, Saeldor, Twisted bow, Scythe. Cus even Tumeken Shadow only has a real purpose in ToA and some raids and even there i think i'd prefer the sang utility over it (cus most its strenght comes from its insane accuracy on osrs and all accuracy based tools are useless on alora cus of the base accuracy buff alora applies)
