What is your suggestion?:
Limit the countdown timer on boosters to just time in raids/gauntlet
In other words, make it so that the 1 hour of boost is only counting the time when players are actually in the raid/gauntlet.
(not talking about drop boosters)
How would this benefit Alora?:
Raid boosters boost raid points by 35% for 1 hour.
Gauntlet boosters boost the chance of gauntlet uniques by 25% for 1 hour.
----------------
Currently, players need to log out in between raids/gauntlet to pause the booster timer.
This gets very frustrating. Say you're raiding with a fully boosted 4 man team.
When one person needs a 1 minute bathroom break, this costs the team 4 minutes of booster time.
Alternative, the team members can each log out to pause the timers, but this makes grouping up again more difficult.
-----------------
Under the current system, players are essentially forced to stick to 1 activity for the entire duration of the booster.
Plus, there's little point in popping more than 1 booster at a time.
-----------------
Under the new suggested system, players would be encouraged to go on herb and birdhouse runs in between these challenging activities without wasting valuable booster time.
Also, grouping up in lobby and replacing team members that g2g will no longer consume valuable booster time.
-----------------
This quality of life fix would encourage more players to purchase and use boosters.
A player could pop 10 raid boosters all at once and enjoy a 35% boost in raid points for the next 10 hours he raids at his own convenience (like at blast furnace).
At blast furnace, gp in the coffer is only consumed when a player is actually spending time in the blast furnance.
It wouldn't make sense for Ordan at blast furnace to charge you for the time you spend bank standing in edgeville...
The same way... it doesn't make sense for Omicron to charge you for the time you spend not raiding/running gauntlet.
There has to be a better way to support the server without having to log out all the time.
