Hi all, as you know we always want to maximise the amount of votes for Alora on toplists, so I'd like to ask some questions to the community about voting and the incentives (ones that are currently offered and some ideas).

 

This isn't an official content poll or suggestion, just trying to gather some opinions.

I think a really good add would be a pure vote point option. Give like 50% bonus vote points. That way people will spam them just for the points for sherlock notes which alot of people already do. (Which they do alread, but might make it more worth for people to just sherlock not spam clues)

 

All other options would just result in more raid drops comming into the game, even more devaluating the already quite low prices of raid drops.

 

 

Secondly, i would change the Daily login bonus to Daily vote streak. And make it so you need to redeem an auth code for it to trigger. It will def get more incentive for people to vote(it legit takes 2 mins to vote and you help yourself while helping the server).

Yes, additional points would be one of the ways to increase the value of vote books. But I think that falls under gp reward (at least sort of).

 

Daily login bonus is a good idea, or even daily task point bonus.

I would just like to see a pure vote point boost as mentioned above. Obtaining a cannon sucks at the minute on ironman, the choices are either use slayer points (Which are best used somewhere else, and 99 is obtained before you have enough for cannon) or vote points, which still takes way too long.

I think that could be a good way of encouraging daily votes yes. Extra % of vote points based on donator rank could also be another way to entice daily votes. Bonus points based on donor rank could get OP though if also tied in with streak boosts.

I get my votes in, sometimes twice a day if my schedule allows. While I think vote books are already rewarding enough if it would incentivize other players to vote at all/more than adding extra options such as you listed seems perfectly reasonable. Personally I like having more options, support adding more bonuses.

I used to vote a lot but as my accounts progressed I stopped. I think your last poll for incentives would be really cool, especially for Ironmen who don't always want XP boosts. Shop bonus' seem like a good idea

Yep, i think currently this is the main issue with voting. Nice for the early game bonus XP, once you progress however, there becomes little need for it, progressed normies will just buy votes, irons may be more inclined to continue for niche rewards/boosts.

 

But there 100% needs to be something that makes EVERYONE go "Fuck, i HAVE to remember to vote today" Currently, if i forget to vote, i dont really careas I have lost next to nothing by not voting (Besides progress towards a cannon as mentioned in my above post)

Add a rank transfer for x amount in vote points would make me vote more. since we cant get more then 2 on a 10k rank but you get 1 for 250 rank

Definitely a vote rework would be nice. However, not by a whole lot.

I guess I'm trying to think a way of what vote books are currently used for in priorities.

1. Bonus Xp/Points.
2. Raids points boost, very low amount considering a vote book currently costs 8m for a 5% bonus, whereas raid boosters are around 14m for a much higher incentive.
3. Pest control points.

I know other options are used, but vast majority always choose bonus xp.

With voting you wouldn't would it too overpowered, but with that at the moment there's only a little incentive (unless your a lower xp rate gamemode)

A voting rewards systems like suggested above would be absolutely awesome. A 1-30 day voting system that would allow players to maximize their votes.

Just spitballing now but would it be possible to tie in voting with the daily log in reward? So if you redeem a vote before claiming your daily log in reward, you get x2 the reward when redeemed?

i dont need any items from the vote shop really i just use them for the xp. also i just buy them since they aint that expensif
and you can just buy a few and you are good for hours.

openning the forum vote page make me lag so hard doesnt worth the time lost for 7m.


the only way i would start voting again is if there was some kind of voting streak ( like the daily reward) 
and with those streak you could be able to buy some supplies or usefull stuff( for example you get some random supplies every week if you voted like 7 times), not useless cosmetics ( my opinion )

for me biggest problem is in general the voting pages. theyre still using this annoying and buggy stone age 2recaptcha. Quite often i manage to vote on 3/4 vote pages and last vote glitches, in the end wasted my time and didnt receive anything.

Yup this too, the act of voting itself is such a chore with the recapcha on each page, but not really sure anything can be done about that but yeah it really does suck.
