This brings us again to the blowpipe/tbow/bowfa discussions of the past.
On runescape the endgame weapons only get 1-2 max hits over the previous tier. But the real difference lays in the accuracy increase. So endgame weapons that're accuracy based cannot compete with weapons who have speed advantage. As accuracy is a huge buff to weapons who're a bit faster than endgame weapons for accuracy. (Bowfa/blowpipe) (Blade/rapier and now fang)
Because alora is an rsps and thus you got increased accuracy. It makes the gap between early/mid and end game items significantly closer.
I personally think the fang has the same problem bowfa has. Without a significant buff/purpose it'll become completely useless and non meta. (Bowfa was good on nex for a while as it had different stats than on osrs) Look at inq gear which had niche uses prior but doesnt even have those on alora cus of accuracy increase on non crush weapons even.(Rapier torva > inq +mace on sarachnis)
And I think it'll come down to the same way it was when i just started playing. Weapons having buffed max hits in raids. Inq mace, blade, rapier, sang, tbow, scythe used to have a raid bonus. And now Fang, bowfa(wasnt there back then so)/nightmare staves and shadow should have it. So atleast in raids it would have a purpose. (Vasa/bloat and all slash weak bosses)
tl:dr I think fang and bowfa have the same problem on alora, and even inq mace/inq armor to a lower degree, its not that they aint good. Its just that the other weapons get more value out of the accuracy than the pure osrs accuracy weapons do.
So i'd def support a buff towards the fang (and bowfa tbh)
