What is your suggestion?: Change current highscores or create another section to operate as actual highscores.

Is this in OSRS?: Osrs displays max exp ranks depending on who got them first

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No

How would this benefit Alora?: Currently highscores act more like an archive of all the players who have reached max exp in any skill and worse yet 4.6 - it displays rank based on the date at which max exp was reached and completely loses "highscore" purpose afterward indefinitely. Changing it to accurately show rank based on total amount of exp only makes sense. I would be open to changing the current highscores to an actual highscore list or if you find value in seeing who reached max exp in each stat + 4.6 in what order a separate accurate highscores could be added.

AFTERNOTE: To clear any confusion - I DO NOT want highscores to display users based on 1. Account creation date OR 2. Achievement date.

I DO WANT highscores to display users on who has more exp AKA HIGHSCORES.

Hi!

I am pretty sure that the current way people with same XP are ranked is based on account creation date, not by achievement date, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I personally don't understand what you're exactly suggesting, mind if you explain it any further for people that could end up being confused reading this?

Thanks in advance <3

What you're suggesting doesn't really make sense because the way it works right now is that the 4.6 highscores go off of account creation date. But it SHOULD go off of the order of who gets it first. An example is that I'm about to be on the 2nd page of the highscores for 4.6 even though I was #22 (I think) to get 4.6. This is because it current goes off of creation date and from my creation date to 4.6 is fast (flex) so people won't be under me until they've created an account after me and maxed it.

So again, not really sure what you're suggesting because the way you're suggesting that it is is actually how it should be and the way you're saying it should be is actually how it is.

I've asked about this a few times and the reason it doesn't show the correct ranks of each player is because it wasn't a priority when the server was released, and now there are hundreds of players with 200M exp skills and 200m all and you can't tell who maxed out in the skill first so it would kinda be unfair to people that actually got the skill to 200m or 200m all first.

I didn't follow up on it but if I had to fix it I would just keep everyones ranks as they are and go from there, rather than keeping it based on registration date.

Having a fully working hiscores and in return maybe hurting a few players feelings is better than having broken hiscores forever.

I'm not entirely sure what is confusing so let me rephrase; I would like the highscores to reflect who actually has the highest amount of exp in each skill and 4.6b. It shouldn't be called a highscores if it goes by account creation date (I thought it was when you maxed a skill at 200m or you hit 4.6b - so my bad on that aspect but it still doesn't change the uselessness of highscores once at and past 200m/4.6)

I agree with the post - I don't think the way it is now is fair for anyone who has the most XP, nor who gets to 4.6b XP first. If it bases it off account creation date only, then it doesn't accurately reflect the leader board. If anything, it's a leader-board of who made their account first, NOT on XP.

I agree with the post and Ballsorre explained it perfectly. Some of the people who are ranked in the top spots just got 4.6 first and they don't even play anymore and now they are just permanently on the leaderboards instead of current players being able to be number 1 based on exp.

This is not true at all. Lynx Titan is currently rank 1 at 4.6B XP and hasn’t played since he reached 4.6 in 2018. Unsure where you’re getting your information at but it’s not a reputable source.

Mack Is right here, on osrs the highscores show whoever reached the 200m first, and after that the xp doesnt get counted anymore (you only get false xp drops that arent counted towards any xp above 200m).

On alora what H said its to late to re-do it because its just to long and there is no possible way to track down whoever got to a 200m or 4.6b total first.

Even trying this would be a total waste of dev time which isnt worth it if you ask me.

It's not about who got to 4.6 first, second, third lol that should be completely irrelevant. It should be about who actually has more exp. The game could keep track of hidden exp behind the scenes for highscores sake.  Once you hit 200m in a skill or 4.6 overall that highscore statistic means almost nothing anymore. Years down the road someone who has done 10x what you have on the game could be 50 ranks lower - tell me how that is a good system?  I will say I did mistake a quote from a top pager on osrs I thought they could still change ranks though their system is by who got it first not by account creation. I would still find it highly appealing especially given the boosted private server exp rate if highscores counted hidden exp.

No.

Exp after 200m/4.6b is irrelevant, it is the max amount of xp. Just like in OSRS once someone has 200m or 4.6b they dont receive anymore xp
