What is your suggestion?:

Make HCGIM Dangerous Activities match OSRS's

Is this in OSRS?:

YES

Has this suggestion been accepted already?:

NO

How would this benefit Alora?:

As it currently stands the biggest threat to any HCIM/HCGIM isn't a monster, a minigame, or even @Ragragrag46. It's internet connection issues. Raids, Moe's boss mass, Gauntlet, etc are all safe content even though they are of the highest tier pvm content available in the game. This doesn't make sense, it takes all the fun out of playing a Hardcore gamemode when there is very little high level content with risk associated with it.

HCGIM gives the opportunity to make a challenging hardcore gamemode without impacting existing highscores, records, accounts, etc. It is a team mode which inherently makes it easier, so it makes sense that HCGIM would have higher risk associated with the higher reward of playing with your friends.

Should be a balance in my opinion. In minigames, etc where you can sometimes die due to bugs that don't exist in OSRS (CoX, ToB), I don't think it should be unsafe personally. But in other places (Fight Caves, Inferno, Gauntlet, Zulrah, NM, etc), sure why not.

Raids should 100% be dangerous, Group hc both raids should be as it is in OSRS but for regular HCIM only tob should be dangerous, theres TP's made for a reason. support, HCIM is just praying you dont DC at the moment

I could easily say, as much as i enjoyed playing the hc game mode. I do not feel excited about playing hcgim if the content isnt unsafe. Total let down if it gets released as it stands. Hopefully this all changes.

Fully agree here with @Yautja and @mochiii's comments. As it stands, it feels as if the proposed HCGIM is just HCIM lite due to a group bank. I think one of the key aspects of HCGIM in OSRS is the higher risk, higher reward aspect.. higher risk of course being pretty much nowhere is safe, and higher reward being the ability to trade with teammates and whatnot. Would definitely give it an honest try if the death mechanics are changed, but as of now I see no reason to not just choose either HCIM or GIM if I were to try a new mode.

I second Monaco's comment. I'd fully agree with 1:1 osrs if we didn't have bugs in raids. It's a silly idea to make content that is known to have bugs that result in death be unsafe - all in all, if they were unsafe they would be dead content for the gamemode.

So no to unsafe raids, but yes to other areas being unsafe that are currently safe in the hcim mode.

I voted no because I already die too much on all of my hardcores, let alone dying with my groupies and being intensely judged even more for it. But i vote whatever can match OSRS best for the Alorian culture.

As Yautja stated I think it's important to have raids as dangerous content. Teleport crystals for ToB and an emergancy teleport for CoX can be used for dealing with those situations.

It's also important to note that fixing these bugs should be the goal of the staff and development team. In extreme cases player rollbacks/status reinstatement for proven bug related deaths can be issued especially as HCGIM and GIM have same xp rates. Pressure to fix existing content so HCGIM don't have bug related deaths helps improve the game for everyone and will encourage more bug reports and subsequently (hot)fixes.

I completely agree, these end-game activities require some form of u certainty to it. Receiving such high-tier rewards with no risk at all where as I’m getting clapping on my HCIM by coronary because I wanted an assembler makes no sense to me.

In addition, I strongly believe that removing someone from your group should result in a life taken away. This will prevent it becoming another Buyman mode.
