Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
We hope that you are all enjoying and cherishing this time with your families, as well as with your Alora family. We are delighted to be spending another Christmas with you all, and going into our 6th year, we're excited to show you what we have in store for you in 2022. In the meantime, we're releasing the Christmas update this year with some new holiday items as the prize for completing the event, as well as the Lovakengj Blast Mine, and last but not least, a handful of bug fixes and QoL! We also have our 2nd League launching in just a few days on Monday, December 27th! For more information on Leagues and the possible prizes that you can win, have a look at the thread below:

- Christmas Event:
- The 2021 Christmas Event is now live! Speak to the Squire in Falador Castle to get started.
- After completing the event, you'll be rewarded with the following:
- Festive elf hat
- Festive elf slippers
- Snowman ring (morph into 3 different snowmen)
- Secret santa present (shield-slot cosmetic, choose between 5 different colors)
- Blast Mine:
- Players with at least 43 mining can now mine ore at the Blast Mine in Lovakengj.
- Players will require a tinderbox, pickaxe, and chisel to mine ores here.
- The process consists of mining a cavity into the hard rock around area, and then placing dynamite within that cavity, lighting it, and collected the blasted ore.
- Players within 3 tiles of the dynamite when it explodes will take damage from being too close.
- Once the dynamite explodes, blasted ore will spawn on the ground for the player.
- This blasted ore will disintegrate within 1 minute of obtaining it, so players must act quick to deposit it into the nearby sack.
- Once the dynamite explodes, blasted ore will spawn on the ground for the player.
- Dynamite can be obtained in the following ways:
- Purchased from Thirus Urkar’s Fine Dynamite Store, near the blast mine.
- Obtained as a reward from the Chambers of Xeric.
- Players can also make dynamite by adding juniper charcoal, saltpetre, and volcanic sulphur to an empty pot to make a dynamite pot, then adding a ball of wool to make dynamite.
- Saltpetre can be obtained from the Chambers of Xeric, or by digging the saltpetre deposits near the woodcutting guild.
- There are 5 areas where a deposit can spawn, and there can only be one saltpetre mound at any given moment.
- Once a mound is fully dug out, it will spawn in one of the other 4 locations.
- Players also have a chance to get 2 Saltpetre for each dig, rather than 1, depending on their mining level.
- There are 5 areas where a deposit can spawn, and there can only be one saltpetre mound at any given moment.
- Volcanic Sulphur can be mined near the Blast Mine in Lovakengj.
- Doing so requires level 42 mining, and provides 25 base Mining experience for doing so.
- Juniper Charcoal can be obtained by chopping down Mature Juniper Trees, and using the logs on the charcoal furnace near the sand crabs in Hosidius.
- Each juniper log used on the furnace provides 50 Juniper Charcoal.
- Saltpetre can be obtained from the Chambers of Xeric, or by digging the saltpetre deposits near the woodcutting guild.
- Players will need 1 dynamite for each cavity they wish to blow up.
- Players within 3 tiles of the dynamite when it explodes will take damage from being too close.
- The process consists of mining a cavity into the hard rock around area, and then placing dynamite within that cavity, lighting it, and collected the blasted ore.
- Once players deposit the blasted ore into the sack, they can then collect the refined version from the operator nearby.
- Players will be able to obtain coal, gold ore, mithril ore, admanatite ore, and runite ore from the blast mine.
- Players will also be able to obtain ores at 10 mining levels lower than would normally be allowed.
- For example, players mining at the blast mine will be able to obtain runite ore at level 75 Mining, rather than 85.
- Coal:
- 30 base Mining experience, always obtainable.
- Gold:
- 60 base Mining experience, always obtainable.
- Mithril:
- 110 base Mining experience, obtainable at level 45 Mining.
- Adamantite:
- 170 base Mining experience, obtainable at level 60 Mining.
- Runite:

- Dynamite will now be given as a reward from Chambers of Xeric.
- Saltpetre will now be given as a reward from Chambers of Xeric.
- The water around the game will now be ice if the snow is toggled on.

- Players can now use the golden hammer to repair the braziers at Wintertodt.
- Broad Arrowhead packs and unfinished broad bolt packs can now be purchased from the slayer shop.
- The prices these items are higher than the individual unfinished bolts/arrow heads to account for the increased convenience/mass quantities they can be purchased in.
- Bug Fixes:
- The superheat spell will now check if the player has coal in their coal bag when smelting.
- Players can now smelt bars at the Lovakite Furnace.
- Rats will no longer deal more than 0 damage.
- Candy cane is now tradable.
- Silly jester outfit is now tradable.
- Purchasing Rainbow ankou outfit will now work as intended.
- Fixed a bug where players would get the wrong amount of Bologa’s blessings from the Tithe farm shop if they didn’t have enough points to make the full purchase.
- Fixed a bug where some Monkey GreeGree transformation animations were incorrect.
- The 3 new Slayer helmet variants (Vampyric, TzKal, TzTok) will no longer drop the ornament kit on death.
- This means that it cannot be lost to another player in PvP, but rather would go to the Untradable items shop.
- Fixed some clue scroll item bonuses:
- Blue d'hide chaps (t) and (g)
- Green d'hide chaps (t) and (g)
- Blue d'hide body (t) and (g)
