Happy Five Year Anniversary!
When we first embarked on this journey 5 years ago, we had no idea of the bonds we’d form, the moments we’d share and the lifelong friends that would come from it. Alora started off as an idea, as a game for people to enjoy, but it has become so much more than that. For many of us, it’s become a place where we’ve formed countless memories, and a community that we’ve become a part of, and that has become part of our identities. Whether you’ve just recently joined, or if you’ve been here since 2016, one thing remains true: Alora is a place you can call home, and a place you can come back to no matter what is going on in your life.
I'm extremely proud of our community, and I adamantly believe that there has never been a better community in the RSPS scene. I'd like to thank everyone for being here with us for these past five years, your support keeps us going. Today is a day of celebration, so we hope you enjoy the events that our lovely staff team has lined up for you!
We've also applied some miscellaneous bug fixes, QoL, and content additions today:
- Party Pete:
- Party Pete has been added at home to hand out Birthday balloons for this year's anniversary.
- Vote Book Bonus Expansion:
- Players now have the option to select 2 new bonuses from opening vote books.
- Bonus Mahogany Homes Points:
- Players can select this option to increase their Mahogany Homes points by 15% for 45 minutes.
- The way this works is that it will provide players a 15% chance to get an extra point for every point they get from completing a contract.
- For example, on an easy contract, players get 3 points by default, so they’d have a 45% chance to get 1 extra point, while on an elite contract, they get 6 points, so they’d have a 90% chance to get 1 extra point.
- Bonus points from being a donator doing influence the chance to get an extra point.

- Bracelet of Clay:
- Players can now enchant Sapphire Bracelets into a Bracelet of clay.

- Sulliescep Woodcutting:
- Players can now cut Sulliusceps on Fossil island.
- These Fungi require a Woodcutting level of at least 65 to chop down, and prove 127 base Woodcutting experience for each yield.
- These are different from standard woodcutting trees, since most of the time, players will receive an “empty yield”, meaning they won’t get a log/item.
- The items that can be obtained and their rates are as follows:
- Sulliuscep cap: 1/50 chance per yield
- Mushroom: 1/10 chance per yield
- Mort myre fungus: 1/30 chance per yield

- Sulliusceps do not follow the same spawn mechanics as OSRS (where they spawn in a specific order, only one at a time).
- Instead, they spawn in the same location all the time, and will respawn after being chopped down, similar to normal trees.
- The Runelite Woodcutting plugin will also show respawn timers for these trees.
