What is your suggestion?: Hardcore group ironman gamemode.

Is this in OSRS?: Yes.

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: No.

How would this benefit Alora?: Allows people to play an extra gamemode.

 

This recently was added to OSRS: https://oldschool.ru.../w/Ironman_Mode

 

Restrictions:

- Dangerous deaths in CoX, fight caves, Inferno, etc (different to HCIM gamemode).

- Group lives, not individual lives.

- Unable to leave a group, and take items with you to another group.

Would be dope, without the leaving and entering GIM teams though; OSRS rules all the way (no more safe deaths)

This is just my personal, unpopular opinion but I wouldn't play the game mode nor would like to see it added. I would prefer to see developing time going into other things such as fixing COX or working on another League mode (which did really well for the server).

 

Yes, someone's gonna argue "it won't take long to develop", my point is I hate to see new content worked on by putting time and effort into it then released into the real game just to be played for a month and be dead content. Like @Sassa fras won't be long till we see a HCGIM selling scythe for 10b normie.

I support this but only if the OSRS rules apply. Especially the tradeable bank wipe if you leave a group.

I like the idea definitely agree with others that we shouldn't ruin the integrity by allowing trading between groups the way we did with GIM (ironic I'm the one saying this). But also what would happen when a team loses all their lives? Do they just become normal GIM and are able to trade? Do we make any changes to our normal GIM mode, or (as i believe), the damage is done. I think this could be a larger discussion or it can be as simple as if they plank they become part of the economy for normal GIM.

 

I'm also not against not adding it to put dev time towards other projects that the entire server can enjoy as a whole more
