What is your suggestion?: My suggestion is to buff Elven crystal chest loot, for it to be atleast on the same level with the regular crystal keys, if not a little bit better loot wise.

 

Is this in OSRS?: No, but neither is the regular c key loot the same.

 

Has this suggestion been accepted already?: Haven't found any suggestions about it.

 

How would this benefit Alora?: Right now using 10 crystal shards on a crystal key is a dumb thing to do, because the loot from elven chests is 1:1 to OSRS loot table (i guess?) but c key loot is enhanced with runite bars, ranger boots and many more useful resources. I would love to see some of the resources on the elven chest aswell, because grinding out full dragonstone set would be a horrible idea right now. (1/250 drop chance & 10 shards per key so about 2500 shards for piece which is about 300-400 corrupted gauntlet runs) If needed, I could give any unique ideas on what to put onto the chest loot table.

Spending time to grind shards to then open the Elven chest only makes sense to have increased loots compared to regular crystal chest where you can simply just buy the keys.

Support, I mostly now save my C keys for this chest but the loot is either hit or miss.

 

Sometimes you get a nice amount of gold ore, other times you get a 200k alchable. 

 

Adding raw anglers, or herb secondary ingredients would be nice.

 

I guess I definitely lucked out on the crystal acorn as I got mine in 3 chests lol

Support. As it stands right now, there is pretty much 0 incentive to even use the enhanced crystal chest.

Support!  The elven chest definitely deserves some more love!

Right now it's really only good for gold ore and crystal acorns (for tangleroot metamorphasis).

 

Maybe add the crystal impling's 1/250 elven signet to the chest?

 

Or a rare 1/420 chance at rolling the crystal crown that cost max cash to purchase?

 

Or a rare 1/420 chance at rolling the enhanced weapon seed? 

 

This would be similar to how in barrows you can use 15k barrows points to roll at a set.

 

It would let players gamble their extra shards/keys at a chance for enhanced weapon seed.

 

Just throwing ideas out there!  Totally up for discussion.

I'm thrilled to read the feedback about my suggestion. I would agree with some of the replies about the potential loot that could buff the Elven Crystal Chest and make it viable again.

 

I would be happy with some sort of supplies, maybe add rangers/dragon boots/infinity boots to the chest aswell, with around the same rate as it is in regular crystal chest?

 

My personal idea is to have the chest better than the regular one, as you know, the key itself is called "enhanced crystal key", so should be some sort of enhanced loot, right? Anyways, I would love to read some extra ideas about my suggestion and hope that it gets accepted at same point!

 

Also, enhanced crystal weapon seed to the chest is a no-go, just saying

100% agree would love to see some kind of buff as regular crystal keys are better to open as of now

Hell yes, support! The chest needs to be updated. Right now it is only worth opening if you just want the collection log entries for the Dragonstone armour but it still doesn't make sense that the overall loot is worse than what the regular crystal chest gives. The chest is opened with an "enhanced crystal key" so it should have enhanced loot table, 10 crystal shards for one key is quite a bit after all.

My suggestion is that the table should be what it is now but the same or similar items as regular crystal chest gives right now should be added into it along with maybe 5-25 herblore secondaries (for example mort myre fungus, whiteberries and red spiders' eggs), a 1/300 chance for an Enhanced crystal teleport seed, a 1/200 chance for a Crystal weapon seed and a 1/100 chance for a Crystal of a random dictrict to recolour the Blade of saeldor/Bow of faerdhinen. Also, like @Real Alan suggested, a 1/250 chance for an Elven signet would be pretty nice as well. I think that would be fair and not too overpowered IMO.
