What is your suggestion?:

Introduce shops that are allowed for ironmen in OSRS. Jagex didn't see these shops as too OP for ironmen, so I don't see why we make it any harder for our ironmen to obtain some of these items.

 

Some shops that come to mind is the Dwarf in the Falador mines for a rune pickaxe, all beginner armor and weapon shops to purchase steel mithril and adamant, and the rune shop in Port Sarim

Yes these and more, if any others have others that should be added I'll edit this post to include them

How would this benefit Alora?:

It would mainly help lower xp rated early game ironmen get gear to use early game including helping them skill with the rune pickaxe as an example.

I do support this being implemented.

However, a few things come to mind which do make me hesitant on it.

Ironman mode has been in Alora for a long time and Ironmen have had to deal with "grinding" these since the Ironman release.

If your a EIM/GIM (Possibly HCIM) I completely understand the struggles of the "Grind" it takes to get these items, as these do take time, Which is why I support this.

With things like the pickaxe store, I can see the need for such shops but the XP rates aren't bad enough for them, We have mobs that's aren't too hard to kill that drop items like the rune pickaxe to use until you have the stats for wilderness bosses. But if your a skiller or can't be bothered killing mobs for the pickaxe then I dont see why not.

But to get a mithril armour set, it requires 68 smithing to create, Yes that may seem like a big grind but if you do blast furnace and buy the Ore (With Vote Book enabled and 2FA activated) in all honesty it doesn't take that long. (I've done this on a GIM/EIM)

I do like this idea however.

Its better to explore methods to obtain an item rather than just buy it. Fun early game grinds

Iron does not mine at the same rate as rune that was changed ages ago.

I've been told by staff that the server attempts to be as similar to OSRS as possible so I don't see why you can't use the same shops as OS.

Alora is already much easier than OSRS (especially in regards to gathering supplies and items), so in my opinion there isn't any need for these additional shops.

Only thing I can support is adding all existing rune shops to the game.

Just because Alora is easy doesn't mean these shouldn't be added if want to be closer to OSRS. If Jagex didn't see it as too over powered I don't see what the issue would be here

I mean id love to see all the shops implimented, range gear shops, pickaxes, champion guild armours ect

Support, could bump up the prices for all of these items across the board for a nice gp sink as well.

 

Or lets just take out all the rune shops to be consistent with the lack of other shops.

I'd Support this, if it's in osrs and not too OP I feel like this isn't something Alora should skip out on just because said shops aren't coded. Alora is easy but some grinds aren't necessary compared to the actual game.
