Hello everyone,
We're excited to announce some updates to the PvP/Combat side of Alora, which we haven't given much attention to in awhile. Aside from tweaking the combat system, fixing dead clicks and patching up numerous bugs, we've also added a full tournament system which allows staff members to host a tournament and select the loadout that all participants will use, which will then match up players in 1v1 fights and continue to pair up the winners until there are only 2 finalists remaining. The tournament system also allows for spectating, for those of you who are not PvP-inclined. Aside from this, we've introduced the Prayer re-ordering plugin, new custom donation items (including the Soul wars pets), and many more QoL changes and bug fixes. We'll let you read all the fine details below:
- Custom donation additions:
- We've added a few new custom donation items to the list, these items can only be obtained via customs:
- Coffin - $250
- This wearable coffin goes into your cape slot, and is a unique fashion statement.
- Soul wars pets (Lil' Creator & Lil' Destructor) - $150
- The soul wars pet with metamorphosis options between both variants can now be purchased.
- Coffin - $250
- We've added a few new custom donation items to the list, these items can only be obtained via customs:
- PvP Related Changes:
- Combat formula adjustments (PvP only, PvM formulas unaffected):
- To make our combat system more in-line with OSRS's, we've made the following changes:
- Magic attacks in PvP were too accurate, so we've slightly reduced Magic accuracy.
- Ranged attacks were unable to hit through tank gear, so we've slightly tweaked ranged defence to allow for a higher chance of penetrating armour.
- To make our combat system more in-line with OSRS's, we've made the following changes:
- Client clicking changes:
- Deadclicks should no longer occur as frequently, as we've rewritten the way mouse clicks are handled, making them more accurate.
- This should hopefully help with actions that require fast clicks, such as switching or casting.
- If you notice any abnormal activity related to clicks, please let us know right away.

- Wilderness Food Changes:
- All food/brews that are dropped in the wilderness will now disappear after 1 minute, and never go public to other players.

- Once the loadout has been selected, the tournament host can select a spell book, and will set a countdown timer for the tournament.
- Players will have a few minutes to register in the tournament, either by typing ::jointournament or ::jointourny, or speaking to the Tournament NPC in edgeville.
- After this, the player will be taken to the waiting area until the countdown is up, and will then be added to an arena to fight in a 1v1 battle against another random player.
- If there is an odd number of contestants, one lucky player will be selected at random to automatically move forward to the next round.
- This will continue until only 1 player is remaining, at which point they will be declared the winner.
- If a contestant loses their fight, they will brought to a waiting area where they can spectate the fights of the remaining contestants.
