I have just started doing boss content and I'm looking into getting into cox/tob and need some tips?

Where's a good place to look for people to run with?

What's recommended gear or inventory?

How punishing is cox and tob on a 1-10 scale for a beginner?

Thanks everyone that reads this, have a good day.

I personally found a group of friends I talked with on Discord who knew raids really well, and just ran them with them. They knew I'd be having deaths but they didn't mind, so make sure your group doesn't care. A lot of people take it serious and will get upset over deaths. But just take it slow, let them explain the rooms, what to do, etc.

Gear recommendations vary, some people prefer max melee/range/mage switches, while others prefer just using elite void with helm switches.

Learning COX really only took me a few tries to learn, I tried my first solo after only running like 5 with a group, and it did take me like an hour, but for a solo and only have done 5 with a group, that's really not that bad.

Just take your time, learn the rooms and mechanics, and you'll be good to go. :)

Hey there! You can join learner raids, ask the host or pm me whenever i'm free i can take you on one!

Best advice is have the guides up for it, get a feel of each room, and go do a learner raids, best way to learn is to attempt it/

And for recommended gear i would say full elite void with trident/bp/whip/tent is fine. Any thing else is an upgrade if you have better.

To touch on what the others said, voice learning is always the best, plenty of people around the server who wouldn't mind showing you.

As for difficulties, CoX is a walk in the park till Olm (end boss), where you need some knowledge of mechanics. Comparatively, ToB is more consistently hard, having to pay constant attention, but again, adequate knowledge of mechanics & practice will see you sailing through both.

I have just started doing boss content and I'm looking into getting into cox/tob and need some tips?

ToB: I believe there's not much difference between Alora and Osrs Theatre of blood, just at dawn/verzik.

Cox: The mechanics here are a little different compared to osrs, but the bosses/phases are almost all the same.

There's a few text guides on forums you can check out, I'll link them for you:

ToB: https://www.alora.io...of-blood-guide/

Cox: https://www.alora.io...s-1-guide-2018/

If you prefer, watch a few OSRS raids guide on youtube, for ToB, you can learn easily from an osrs guide.

for cox, a few things are different, best way to learn is giving it a try.

I've teached a few people how to raid  joining my team, feel free to pm me in game, Idm teaching.

Where's a good place to look for people to run with?

Yelling or asking in clan chat.

What's recommended gear or inventory?

Recommended and required is:

Abyssal tentacle, Blowpipe, Trident of the swamp and Elite void.

3 Ways switchs

Melee/range/mage

Example:

I don't recommend you going as a barrager as you are starting now, so don't need to bring runes.

Cox after 2-5 runs is very easy and most rooms require little attention. Definitely read up on guides. Stay towards the back for your first few CoX. Read up mainly on olm. Get comfortable with his specials as this can kill you and teammates. Keep health above 60 until your comfortable and pray melee and run olms head at the end

As there are raids guides on the forums, it would help to get in a voice chat with some other raiders so they guide you through it step by step. Even if you don’t have a good mic, you can still listen and just reply via clan chat. The more raids you do, the more comfortable you’ll be doing them.

Best of luck!

Wow, what positive responses. I wasn't expecting this when I logged on!

I just have to get a few Western Providence done and I'll have my elite void. Need to upgrade whip to tent and buy a trident.

Added @Miya @Damaged Love

I've taken in everything that has been said and I've read through the guide you posted @7 Psychodual

Thanks everyone, stay good looking and keep raiding.  B)

Biggest tip I can gave you, Don't die during the head face, happens me a lot in the past, and

take a pet with you so you can continuously walk around it when head running. Hope this help :)
