Hello everyone, welcome to this month's edition of the Alora Newspaper.

 

We hope you've all had a great month. We've got some exciting updates on the horizon and there is currently a content poll for future updates running as well. Be sure to cast your votes using the link in the News & Updates section below.

 

As you can see we got a graphics overhaul for the newspaper, courtesy of Dumbshit. A big thank you to him. Make sure to check out his graphics shop for any of your GFX needs.

 

On a more serious note, we hope everyone is well and safe during this chaotic time across the globe due to the Covid-19 virus. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. We hope Alora can serve as an escape from the everyday stresses. After all, Gielinor is the best place to self-isolate.

11. Providing Fake Evidence

The attempt to use fake evidence is prohibited on Alora; This will result in a permanent ban from the community, both on the forums and in-game. This includes evidence submitted in a report, an appeal, or to defame a user in any section of the forums.

11. False Accusations

 

The act of making false accusations towards another member of the community is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to, falsifying evidence, libel, etc. This is subject to evidence submitted in a report, an appeal, personal messages, yell, etc. to defame or falsely accuse a user in any section of the game/forums. The act of doing so will result in a permanent ban or permanent removal from the community, depending on the magnitude of the offense. 

 

Brief explanation: We wanted to better encompass false accusations as a whole rather than solely falsified evidence.

Code 002 has returned to the Staff Team as Global Moderator.
Paine has been promoted to Global Moderator.

TenFour has been promoted to Server Moderator.

Miya has been promoted to Server Support.

Secondary Ranks/Rank Transfers:
GIM Hellish has transferred his Administrator rank to Hellish.
God has added a secondary rank to Josh.
Mack has added a secondary rank to Weath.
Adex has added a secondary rank to Hc adex.
Fiji Drip has added a secondary rank to ijiF.
TenFour has added a secondary rank to Nac.
F has added a secondary rank to Jim SZN.

Resignations:
Sassafras has resigned from Global Moderator for the 18th time.
Real Try has resigned from Server Moderator.

Demotions:
To gain has been demoted from Event Manager to Global Moderator.
Dante has been demoted from Forum Moderator to Server Moderator.
Vape Tricks has been demoted from Forum Moderator to Server Moderator.
Doofy has been demoted and banned due to rule-breaking.
EIM Zarox has been demoted from Server Moderator for inactivity.

This month we will be interviewing EIM Zarox, as well as Setup. We also have a special interview for you to enjoy!

 

Let's start off with EIM Zarox...

 

A: What's your daily routine look like and can you tell us the secret to being this special?

EIM Zarox: My daily routine is pretty basic, I wake up at around 10 AM, I yell at the top of my lung "#ICE ON MY CHEST BABY", brush my teeth then I browse the Baby Yoda subreddit for like, 3-6 hours, then I hop on Alora for my daily 10 minutes of playtime & then I watch The Walking Dead until I go to bed. The secret to being this special? I don't know what makes me this awesome and sexy and beautiful and tall and loveable, I really can't tell you.

 

A: How many HCIM's have you burned through already?

EIM Zarox: Surprisingly, only 3. SkyCream73, whom perished at Kourend catacombs' Nechryaels, HCIM Zarox, a ratherr unknown account, which I suicided on, then there's the well-known, CreamySky73, who died at Vorkath, due to a DC. Currently working on yet another hardcore, "KreamyScy73" And I have a feeling he'll surpass CreamySky73 in no time.

 

A: What caused you to become so obsessed with Baby Yoda? I'm sure we are all dying to know.

EIM Zarox: Pretty sure it all started off with a girl showing me a Baby Yoda meme, and I was rather impressed with the small hecker, and ever since that day, I've been in love. (With Baby Yoda)

 

A: What is one of your accomplishments you're most proud of?

EIM Zarox: I have 100%'d The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ on all 3 save files.

 

A: What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?

EIM Zarox: At around 4 years old, I decided I'd climb our bookshelf, now this was a rather old bookshelf, so it was rather unstable, half way up, the bookshelf said yeet and it fell. My parents thought I was dead, as I was completely quiet, buried underneath 100+ kilos of books, but I left with a few scrapes and a sprained ankle.

 

A: If you were to become an animal, which one would you want to be and why?

EIM Zarox: A Zonkey. They're a big mistake, and I think that fits me pretty well.

 

A: If someone was to write a biography about you, what do you think the title would be?

EIM Zarox: Sonos - The biggest degenerate.

 

Next up, Setup!

 

A: How many guides have you created so far? Which would you say is your favorite?

Setup: So far, I have created 5 guides for Alora. Personally, I find the Monster Guides Directory to be one of my favorites. It took a little while to make, however i believe it was worth it.

 

A: What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Setup: This is an interesting question. I think everyone should do anything that they want to do at least once. Of course there are limits to what we can do, but everyone should enjoy themselves. I don’t have anything specific anyone should do, however people should do things they dream of.

 

A: What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?

Setup: Although it is very simple and small, the luckiest thing that has happened to me was the moment I became an uncle. I think it’s cool to be an uncle to my brother’s kids and I’ve wanted to be that special to a kid’s life.

 

A:  If you died today, what would your greatest achievement be?

Setup: If i had died today, I believe my greatest achievement would be becoming more independent. Although I’m still young, I have always wanted to become a more independent person. Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to become more independent, paying things on my own, and getting to do the things i’ve always wanted to do.

 

A: What are the best and worst purchases you’ve ever made?

Setup: Best purchase - my 4K monitor, worst purchase - a Pornhub subscription.

 

A: If you were given $10,000, what would you do with it?

Setup: If i was given $10K, i would more than likely try to start a streaming career. Even though it is very unlikely to take off and make it into a career, I still think it would be a lot of fun to start streaming while playing my favorite games.

 

A: If you were lost in a forest, what two items would you want with you?

Setup: An axe and tinderbox  .

 

Now for our surprise interview, Omicron!

 

A: I know you've been working in the RSPS scene for some time now, what is your favorite era of Runescape and why? Do you have any specific memories that come to mind when you think on your days of playing?

Omicron: I'd have to say between 2005-2007. I remember when I first started playing in 2005 after finding RuneScape on Miniclip, my IRL friends and I all had our own tasks. One of them would cook trout for us, another was responsible for making iron swords and equipment. We'd go into the wilderness together and get absolutely obliterated, but we had the most fun while we did it. Those were simpler times, we didn't care about efficiency and we had no idea what we were doing. I also have fond memories of finally completing the Desert Treasure quest on my own in ~2007, and not so fond memories of getting lured into the wilderness for everything I'd worked so hard for in 2006.

 

A: If you had to insert Lowkey/Jay into a movie title, what would it be? (ie. Beauty and the Bald, Definitely Balding, etc.)

Omicron: The Good, The Bad, and The Balding

 

A: Do you have any plans / goals for Alora’s future?

Omicron: Of course! I'm ecstatic to share something with you guys in a few days that we've been working on for a few months, and that I believe will be a real game changer for Alora. That's all I can say for now!

 

A: What does your daily routine look like?

Omicron: At the moment, it's pretty unexciting due to the quarantine, which I'm sure most of you can identify with. A lot of time spent at the computer programming, and when I'm not doing so I try to go for walks or do a workout at home so I don't lose my sanity. Nonetheless, it gives us all more time to be on Alora, so let's make the most of it!  

 

A: Does pineapple belong on Pizza? 

Omicron: Absolutely. Pineapple is the key to a perfectly balanced pizza. Throw in some jalapeños as well if you're feeling daring.

 

A: If you could meet anyone in the world (dead or alive) who would it be and why?

Omicron: I'm inclined towards wanting to meet someone who's involved in a mystery/conspiracy. Perhaps the creator of Bitcoin, or D.B Cooper. I think it'd be cool to know if these people are still alive, and ask them some questions about their motives.

 

A: What kind of music do you listen to? Any favorite songs?

Omicron: I listen to many different genres. Hip hop, rap, indie/alternative, R&B, etc. I most recently added country music to the list after a trip to Alabama to meet some Alora players and staff members, and I have to give a shoutout to their anthem: Dixieland Delight.

 

A: If you could travel anywhere in the world? Where would it be and why?

Omicron: I think that it would be cool to visit Australia some day. It's quite far away, but the weather seems beautiful and it'd be interesting to see how they live down under.
