Please can we have Wintertodt in the minigames! I'm weird and it's my favorite content from Runescape.

 

I really enjoy opening the boxes and rolling for Phoenix, please can we maybe get this?

Hey there. I believe Wintertodt has been suggested a few times and the consensus was that it wasn't really worth implementing due to it most-likely being dead content. I personally think Wintertodt would be a waste of Dev time, especially since we only have Omicron doing all of that stuff so I don't think it's necessary to add. No support.

As a primarily ironman server, wintertodt is one of the most basic ironman necessities that you do on osrs. This would never be dead content.

Omicron has the final say on whether or not content actually gets added into the game. While I do see the positive aspects of adding Wintertodt to the game, and it has already been suggested and accepted, that does not give you the right to call him lazy for not adding it into the game already. I agree that ironman can benefit more from Wintertodt, and as a staff member myself, I actually would support this getting added. However, there are other content/updates/bug fixes that have higher priority, such as the whole Chambers of Xeric rework.

Instead of making false generalizations against the staff team, give constructive criticism on these suggestion topics as to why you support or don’t support them.

Think you're misinterpreting staff don't think it's worth valuable dev time as staff don't want it and are lazy

It's that it is the most fun content in the game so it should definitely be implemented!

This will take a lot of time to implement and bug test, with little benefits to the game. No support.

I support strictly because it is in OSRS and is a very good alternative method to straight lining FM.

I do agree with the staff though, it is not a good use of Dev time.

However with that being said, I do think a little time could be set aside throughout a longer duration of time picking at getting it in game. With the Nightmare being introduced into the game I would think that frees up a little time for Omi and his bro, but tbh probably not. As they most likely a few more wrinkles to iron out.

I support, to all people that say it is easy to max FM, just nerf the xp rate to x2 or x3 or something. Its a fun minigame. Can't take that away from us.

I'm sure thers alot other things that needs to be added before this. Would be dead content in couple days anyways so no support from me.

@HC Benji It's not really about being lazy, it's more so about limited resources, and thinking about what would provide the most benefit to the most amount of players. Firemaking is one of the easiest skills in the game to max, and if wintertodt was added, even if it wasn't dead content after a few weeks (which I personally believe it will be), the average player would probably only get a few hours use out of it before maxing.
