A way to optimalize the ingame items and the upcoming Nightmare content 

 

Current situation

 

Crush,Slash and Stab are the three different combat styles we currently have in Alora. At this time there is no or not any noticeable difference in using these styles on different kind of monsters. In the original game certain monsters and bosses are weak or protected from these styles and this creates certain ways to kill them best.

 

For example: Cerberus has high stab and slash defence, but is weak to crush. This would make a Bludgeon or Hasta a great option for this boss. There are much more other examples for stab and slash.

 

 

What will change?

 

This change would make items which are not regularly used, useful and interesting again. Examples are: Bludgeon Hasta, Warhammers and more. This would bring more balance to the game, as tent is now used 99% of the time when using melee.

 

Connection to the Nightmare

 

The Nightmare drops inquisitor armour, which boosts crush accuracy. 

Not having a working crush function in PVM, would take much of the value of this armour. As this is a niche piece of content.

Full support for this.  

 

It would nice for the bludgeon to become a more useful thing along with the hasta, rather than using the tent whip just abut everywhere.

Support. It would be efficient to use a bosses weakness against it while making it to where if you aren't using the right weapons your kills would be hindered.

Support, same as in raids, the crystal at vasa is supposed to be weak against stab in 07, here it's equal, makes ppl soloing to bring a stab wep instead of t bow / scythe all raid.

100% got my full support on this, the meta for melee atm is so boring. And if this is not "fixed", the new nightmare content will be totally useless for anything other than the staff imo.

I think it might be just monster weakness in general, some monsters should beweaker to certain melee styles, others to magic or ranged, pretty sure it does not matter too much on Alora right now what you use.

Definitively support to add corrected attack styles! Newer players could easily google which style would help them defeat that high level, THAT MUCH EASIER!

support! would love to see some more diversity in bis gear for certain bosses and also free's up the economy for other weapons to be sold at a decent price.
