Hello, 

 

I've noticed while doing achievement diaries its a little unbalanced for the skill levels needed for the tiers that the task is on. To build the preface to what I'm about to suggest here's my mentality

behind it. Easy tasks are meant to be able to be done very quickly and early in, medium for someone who's like 750-1250 total, hard for people not quite at end game but not quite a noob and probably have 1500-1750 total. Then of course elite is for end game players with total levels around or above 2k.

My suggestions:

Kourend hard task- chop 100 redwood logs, moved to elite. explanation: 90 wc for a hard task is just too high.

 

western provinces hard task- complete a smoke devil task, moved to elite or removed. explanation: 1) its 93 slayer, 2) thermonuclear smoke devil is already a task in elite. its basically the same thing.

 

Varrock easy task-buy a starter home, moved to medium/hard or removed or reduce price of home. Explanation: i play realism, my first 10m took a while to get and i did not want to blow it all on buying a starter home. and it seems a bit unbalanced to spend 10m on an easy task.

I can somewhat understand where you are coming from but I believe the way it is set up with the content we have available is quite fair. As a private server, you can't realistically expect the depth of content to be the same for each region as it is in Old School Runescape. We tried to incorporate tasks similar to those in the OSRS diaries but a lot of them can't really be transferred over to Alora to fit to the restricted content and pace of the game. Even with Realism being technically a 2x game-mode it is significantly faster with bonuses like skill of the day, bonus XP, vote books and the Well of Goodwill. These are meant to be more challenging and time consuming because it doesn't take 100s of hours to get a 99 here. Even on the lowest XP mode they can be reached in a day or so.

If there's anyone that hates low xp mode grinds, it's me. I get where your coming from with some of these requirements. That being said, the point of Diaries isn't for you to finish them lightning fast. It just so happened that a number of us have. It's supposed to be a process, not a rush.

I dont see a reason in changing some of the already made achievements simply for the fact that we have multiple different game modes ranging from 40x to 2x so it has to be balanced for everyone which I believe they did an awesome job balancing it

No support. I currently am enjoying the achievement grind and think they are an appropriate mixture of challenge, even as a late game account I haven't finished all the diaries.  Like what was stated above as an RSPS their will always be differences between us and OS and personally achievements are a place where these need to be present. Diaries are made to be challenging and should not be able to be finished until you are a late-game account. I don't play a Realism so I can't speak about the grind they go through but I think it would be wrong for these changes to be made to benefit largely one game-mode.

Additionally, a point often overlooked when looking at skilling grinds is that the truth of the matter is that no game mode is actually the base multiplier that you pick at the start. For example, I'm a GIM so I should be 6x. The well is active over 90% of the time(I'd guess in reality it is way more than this but I'll lowball it) giving 30% bonus xp, vote books give 50% bonus xp, events give 20% bonus which if you get credit at all of them I think would be around 25% of the time, BXP is active every weekend at 50% bonus xp. Add these up and I'm already gaining xp at 250% my normal rate or 15x.

no support, nothing has to be perfectly linear with osrs progression, things like this also present in OSRS. at the end of the day if you dont like xp grinds dont play realism

I totally support.  As the #3 realism player, I can see how the current achievements are not appropriately scaled to difficulty, which disproportionally affects lower xp game modes.  Some of us base account progress on unlocking key experience boosting items, such as ardougne equipment and varrock armor.   It's part of the fun and challenge attracting players to realism.  The simple solution here is to just rearrange the diary tasks into the appropriate difficulty category.  Think about it.  Elite void requires hard western diaries now, which requires cooking shark and completing a smoke devil task.  Why lock elite void behind 93 slayer and 80 cooking?  Do what's best for the entire community, just swap some achievements around, and we can fix this issue.  No harm done.  It's disappointing to see the lack of support for something so logical.  Do what's right.  Put yourselves into other players' shoes.

The only one i will support is the House but even then i had 5m cash from caskets alone by base 70 stats at sand crabs
