Hey guys,

 

IM Moe and I wanted to put up a poll for a few weeks to find out what you guys want to see as events in the future.

 

Together with the staff team, we came up with several ideas that we would like your opinions on.

 

If you have ideas for new events, please comment those below with a brief explanation on how it would work.

These will be polled on a later date.

 

I will briefly explain the events posted in the Poll:

 

Fresh Ironman Scavenger Hunt:

 

As the name suggests, this event will consist of players making new ironman accounts (with a preset), and hunt for 3 random items that will be announced in the sign up thread.

This event will run for 1-2 weeks depending on player's feedback.

The first 3 players with all 3 items will be announced as the winners (The prize has yet to be decided) and will receive a forum-award.

 

 

The rules for this event will be the following:

• Players have to use new ironman accounts with a preset in the name, the preset will be announced in the sign up thread.
• No bonds can be used on these accounts to prevent players having advantages over other players.
• No vote books can be used on these accounts.

 

Forum Easter Egg Hunt:

 

The staff team will hide a certain amount of small pictures in random forum threads, this can vary from 3-8 pictures.

The first 3 players that find all hidden pictures win a prize (The prize has yet to be decided) and will receive a forum-award.

 

 

Video of The Month:

 

This event will work similar to the MOTM contest.

 

IM Moe and I will post a thread in the Server Events section of the forums that will be open from the first day of the month till the last day of the month.

Within this thread players will be able to submit their videos (has to be Alora Content!).

In the first week of the next month we run a poll where players can vote on which video they liked the most, Top 3 will be in a separate poll to determine the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

The winner of this will be featured on the Alora home page / Forums, will receive a forum award, and an in-game prize.

 

 

 

I hope you guys like these ideas and please give us your opinion on these suggestions by posting below or PM myself or IM Moe.

 

As I said above, we would like you to post your ideas for any future events, because in the end, we host these events for the community so we would like to hear your ideas.

The forum one sounds neat not sure why its a 50/50 considering bumping activity on this platform is needed.

 

The other two sound good as well.

1. Yes - An event like this is always fun, just don't make it too long please; people will get bored / drop out

2. No - To be honest, this one looks like a weird try to get activity in the forums. It can't boosted like this

3. No - Not everybody has access to a good movie editor, mic etc etc. Don't think there will be a lot of activity on this one.

 

It's nice to see you guys are trying different kind of events though!

I know the Video of The Month event (VOTM), and it would be a cool event, I support this event.

Yes, No, Yes just like the first post said. I really like #1 and #3, not sure about #2. Not opposed to giving it a try, just doesn't sound to appealing to me.
