Heyo,
Edit- I am aware of and super appreciative of everything both Omi and all the staff in general to improve Alora, not just pvp-wise, but in general.
I’m making this post just because I haven’t really seen one like it. The purpose of this is to hopefully start a discussion about potential ways to increase activity in the wilderness. I’ve seen this as a popular topic in the “Suggestions” page, but often, there isn’t discussion occurring, it’s mostly just people saying ‘support’ or ‘no support’ in response to others ideas.
I personally think that the game is a lot more fun when the wild is active, and that the uncertain feeling of being in the unpredictable wilderness is something that can’t be replicated anywhere else in the game. More people in the wilderness obviously widens the PvP scene, which could up an entirely new aspect of the game to many Alorians, as unquestionably, the large majority of Alora players are strictly PvMers.
The larger PvP scene would also bring more players to Alora:
Pretty much all RSPSs are either PvM OR PvP based, which obviously doesn’t fully capture the everything available in OSRS. An RSPS where both the PvM scene AND PvP scene are active would appeal to ALL types of players looking for an RSPS.
Some of my ideas / Ideas I’ve seen from others:
>Add benefits to the bounty system/pkp shop
>More frequent PvP-based events
>Add really rare, valuable drops to wilderness bosses (PvP weapons/armor, a roll on the bloody chest drop table, etc) - EDIT - already a feature, sorry.
>Add additional skilling options in the wild, not necessarily in OSRS
Please feel free to share any ideas you have, regardless of how ‘controversial.’ Also feel free to share your opinions on how important/unimportant an active wild is to you. Also please Scroll down and read the responses already posted to avoid repeating what others have already said.
Try to be respectful of others ideas and opinions, and respond to them constructively. If someone responds to you just trying to flame bait, I encourage you to simply not respond.
Note - I wrote this on my phone which is why there isn’t any formatted text. Also apologies for typos.
