The trading post causes people to undercut/overprice items by a ridiculous amount. Also, my bank is almost completely full with items that won't sell in the tp because nobody has interest in them, yet there are items that are worth 20m+ in old school runescape. I believe that adding in a grand exchange or something along the lines would fix this, it's not fun looking at the same set of items in the tp for multiple weeks in a row because nobody buys them. Please, if possible do something about this.

Eh? You do know that the G.E work with a familiar system like the tradepost. If an item has a low supply and demand, it would sell much harder than a wanted item. The only pros about OSRS is that they have a way bigger player base than Alora. That is probably why it sells so ‘easy’ However regarding the suggestion it doesn’t make any difference, maybe a slight QoL thing in the future, but for now No Support.

This has nothing to do with the Trading Post's system, there is astronomically more traffic using the GE in OSRS which means items buy/sell much faster. The massive under/overcuts in Alora suck, but it's due to the low frequency of people using the TP.

 

Sorry, but no support. The solution you're after lies in a bigger player-base and more use of the TP.

So I understand where you are coming from, but the trading post seems to me like a far more superior use of trading than the GE. First of all there aren't 100+ severs running 50 + players on each, and the Trading Post allows you to see a variety of items with common names. It works much better for a player base with less people than the real game.

no need just need more people and the activity will shoot up. and people will try to undercut/overcut even if u had a ge.

I don't think a GE will work because of the size of the playerbase of osrs compared to Alora. But I think the idea of adding buy offers to the tp was talked about (possibly accepted if I remember correctly) in the past.

I think the problem with Alora is, that we can actively see what an item is going for. Where as on OSRS you have to buy the item to see what the low sell price was first. Even then you dont know what the second lowest item is selling for. Its WAY to easy in Alora to undercut people.

Like @arcadus already mentioned, adding a GE would effectively work the same way as a the trading post. There would only be difficulty selling items if no one wanted to buy them. That being said, an interested idea may be to add "Buy offers" to the trading post, so players can set a max price they're willing to buy an item for(which obviously would not be shown to potential sellers), and that way items can be "insta-sold" like they sometimes are on the grand exchange.
