Hello everyone,
Note: Abyssal tentacle degrading was originally in this update, but has since been removed and may be polled at a later date.
As promised, our second batch of weekly updates is now live! We've taken some time to adjust the Theatre of Blood drop rates, as they were recently released by the OSRS development team. On top of this, we've got plenty of new content such as ZMI Runecrafting, another low-level Draynor Rooftop Agility Course and fully treatable and enchantable Silver Jewellery. We hope you find can all find something to enjoy in this update! :)
- ZMI Runecrafting:
- Players can now access and use the ZMI altar!
- Players must run through the long/safe path, or dangerous/short path to get the altar, and can craft pure essence on it. The altar rewards all runes except for Wrath runes, and has no level requirement to use. With that being said, the higher your Runecrafting level is, the more likely you are to get a better rune.
- Players will receive 1 rune per pure essence they craft, or 1-2 runes if they are donator+.
- Players can't teleport out of the ZMI area, unless they use the Ourania teleport in the Lunar spell, which is free to use, as all spellbook teleports are.

- Slayer vote book bonus fix:
- Due to the Slayer bonus from Vote books only being a 25% increased, this means that if you receive 2 points, 25% more is 2.5, which the server would then round down and keep at 2.

- Theatre of Blood changes:
- Killtime record QOL:
- The killtime records will now display the full team for ToB, whereas it usually shows 3 players maximum for other bosses/mini-games.
- Points system / Loot rate matching OSRS:
- OSRS recently released the exact formulas (# of points given for different actions in the raid, and how the affect the loot rates) which we've taken the time to implement into Alora's Theatre of Blood.
- We now have near-100% accurate rates for the reward system in the Theatre of Blood.
- This also means that Lil Zik is completely separate from the loot table, and is rolled at a 1/650 rate but does not affect your rare loot whatsoever.
- Here's how it works in a nutshell (full image below with more details):
- An 'invisible' point system in the background keeps track of your progress:
- Dying reduces your points.
- Dealing the most damage in a room/phase gives you more points.
- Participating in each room gives you points. (AFKing will not)
- Raid boosters increase the # of points you can obtain.
- At the end, 1 player will be chosen as the MVP, which will be eligible for the rare loot.
- The MVP is chosen based on how many points you have out of the team total.
- For example, if you have 30% of the team's points, you have a 30% chance of being the MVP.
- The MVP will then roll for the rare loot, which has an 11% chance. This 11% chance is reduced by deaths in your team, but is also increased by the vote bonus, server bonus on weekend events and drop scroll boosters.
- Once you hit the rare drop table, you will be guaranteed one item at the following rates:
- 1/19 - Scythe of Vitur
- 2/19 - Ghrazi rapier
- 2/19 - Sanguinesti staff
- 2/19 - Justiciar face guard
- 2/19 - Justiciar chest guard
- 2/19 - Justiciar leg guards
- 8/19 - Avernic defender hilt

- Killtime record QOL:
- Store updates:
- Clue booster:
- Clue boosters can now be purchased from the donation store!
- These will boost the chance of obtaining super rare loot from opening Clue scroll caskets by 20% for 1 hour, at the cost of 15 tokens.
- Ideally, you'd complete your caskets and save the clues before using one of these boosters to maximize the benefit.
- The booster will also increase your chance of receiving the Clue hunter outfit pieces.
- These can be purchased by any game mode, but have the same restrictions a well:
- EIM/GIM cannot open another booster if there is still time remaining on the current one.
- EIM/GIM/HCIM/Classic/Realism can only open 1 Clue booster every 3 hours.
- These will boost the chance of obtaining super rare loot from opening Clue scroll caskets by 20% for 1 hour, at the cost of 15 tokens.

Today’s update contains a few more neat pieces of content such as the ability to hunt Salamanders, functionality to Explorer’s rings as well as the 3rd and 4th rings being released, request Farming shops with replenishing stock for ironmen, and respawn timer notifications for instanced rooms. On top of this, we’ve also managed to squeeze in some bug fixes and QOL!
In other news... we’ve also been working on some Raids 1 changes (storage chests and a few other things, such as tweaks to the Olm’s combat) that should be our next week if all goes according to plan!

- Fixed a bug which sometimes caused the "Nothing interesting happens." message to be shown in the chatbox when interacting with equipment in the inventory.
- Strange device has been removed from the Hard clue rewards loot table.
- Fixed Duel arena teleport location when using the Ring of Dueling.

- Teleport animation fixed:
- When using certain jewellery to teleport (such as Glories or Rings of duelling), or even using a lever, while being attacked, sometimes your "block" animation would take priority over the teleport animation.
- This should no longer happen, and the teleport animation will play regardless of any other animation.

- Trading post listing update:
- The Trading post was recently updated to show listings of players who are online first, and although this is not being changed, we are extending this to also sort by the lowest price first by default.
- This means that when you search for a whip you will see the lowest price of any player that is online. There may be lower prices from offline players, though, but at the very least you will not see the 2 billion GP offer on an Iron scimitar show up at the top of the list.
- Note:
- This doesn't apply to the "Recent" listings, which always shows the latest listings from online players.

Hello everyone,
This week's update contains many bug fixes and QOL/content updates, as well as the first batch of some highly requested Chambers of Xeric's changes! The focus this week has primarily been on filling up missing pieces of content such as Lunar spells, the Deranged Archaeologist, and Chewed bone sacrificing for the Dragon full helm. As for the CoX changes, the biggest update is the Storage units which can now be built to store items (private, or to be shared with your party) as well as the special bat-chest which provides a lucky player with food. We'll also be focusing some more on CoX updates (such as Olm's head-turning mechanism) in the next update.
- Miscellaneous:
- Gnome child hat is now tradable.
- The black chinchompa teleport has been moved slightly north, to level 34 wilderness.
- The value of ferocious gloves has been corrected, and should now protect appropriately.
- Alchemical Hydra can now be assigned as a task to players from Nieve
- Note that players who are killing Alchemical Hydra on task will still only receive a Brimstone key if that task was received from Konar.
- The sulphur vents in Tzhaar city can now be used to cook food on.
- Combat bracelet teleports now work as intended.
- Viggora’s chain mace attack animation has been fixed.
- The value of ranger boots has been updated.
- The Revenant cave now requires 60+ combat and 250k+ risk to enter.
- Ancestral Robes set:
- Players can now use their ancestral robe set on the trading post to receive an Ancestral Robes Set item.
- The Ancestral Robes Set can also be used on the trading post to receive the full ancestral set.
- Players can now use their ancestral robe set on the trading post to receive an Ancestral Robes Set item.
- Players can now teleport from the equipment interface using the Mythical Cape.
- Players can now check how many charges remain on their Viggora’s Chainmace/Craw’s Bow from the equipment interface.
- Berry bushes now give 4 berries per bush instead of the previous 3.
- Varrock armor 4 now properly provides the same boost as the prospector jacket.
- Fixed the kraken safe spot.
- Players can now destroy the Bonecrusher properly.
- Fixed a spacing issue for usernames on the 19th item listing when searching for items on the Trading post (was a few pixels to the right)
- On the Venenatis collection log, the Treasonous ring drop was showing up as the imbued version, which means it wouldn't count the drop if you received it. This has been fixed.
- Wilderness Task Emblem Upgrades:
- Players killing NPC’s on a wilderness task with a combat level of 50 or higher will now have a small chance to upgrade the highest tier emblem in their inventory.
- Players who have tier 10 emblems in their inventory will not lose it, but instead be granted an extra tier 8 emblem.
- The higher level the NPC, and the deeper the player is in the wilderness will both factor into the emblem upgrade rate.
- Players killing NPC’s on a wilderness task with a combat level of 50 or higher will now have a small chance to upgrade the highest tier emblem in their inventory.
- Wilderness Supply Chest Changes:
- Players now require 95 combat and at least 1m risk to open the wilderness supply chest.
- The tele block spell will not be removed upon logout for players who open the chest.
- Previously, if a player opened the wilderness supply chest, they would receive a 2.5 minute teleblock, however they would simply be able to relog to remove the timer. This issue has been fixed, and now the only way to remove the teleblock is to leave the wilderness, or wait out the timer.
- TzHaar-Mej-Roh's Rune Store
- Players can now purchase runes from this shop in Tzhaar City with Tokkul, at the following prices:
- Elemental runes: 6 Tokkul each

- Crystal/Brimstone chest changes:
- Players will now see how many Crystal/Brimstone Chests they’ve opened each time they open them.
- We did not keep track of how many chests players had opened in the past, so the count will begin at 0 for everyone starting as of this update.
- Players can right click on the Crystal/Brimstone chest and click “Check” to see how many chests they’ve opened.
- Lastly, when receiving rare items from either chest, your news announcement will display the number of chests you've opened.
- Eg. Omicron has received 1 x Amulet of fury from the Crystal chest! (#73)
- Players will now see how many Crystal/Brimstone Chests they’ve opened each time they open them.
- Deranged Archaeologist:
- Players can now fight the Deranged Archaeologist on Fossil Island by using the “Deranged Archaeologist” teleport found in the teleportation wizard interface.
- Mechanics:
- The Deranged Archaeologist has 200 hp, and similar mechanics to the Crazy Archaeologist, however his special AOE attack can do up to 55 damage per projectile.
- He also cannot be safe spotted or hidden from. If you are within the area, and out of range of the Deranged Archaeologist, he will still be able to attack you with a projectile that cannot be protected from, so beware.
- His primary ranged attack can be protected from using protect from missiles, however if players get too close, he may use melee to attack.
- Barrows loot will now be added to rune pouch or ammunition slot if applicable.
- When barrows loot is rewarded, if a player receives an ammunition reward that they have equipped, it’ll add the ammunition to their equipment slot instead of their inventory to save room.
- Likewise, if a player has a rune pouch in their inventory, and are rewarded runes that they are carrying in their pouch, the runes will be added to their rune pouch automatically.
- If the rune pouch is full(16000 rune limit), the runes will instead be added to the player’s inventory.

- Note: No runes will be removed if the player does not choose a specific spellbook to swap to.
- Players can now cast the spell book swap spell if they have 96+ magic.
- Cure me spell:
- Chambers of Xeric updates:

- Stores up to 250 raids items, and 30 personal items.

- Chewed bone prayer bonus:
- For every chewed bone that the player sacrifices, they will be granted a prayer experience bonus on the next 5 bones that they bury or sacrifice at an altar. This bonus stacks, so sacrificing 5 chewed bones will allow the player to receive a bonus on the next 25 bones that they use.
- Burying bones will provide 3x the normal experience, and using bones on the altar will provide 1.75x the normal experience when using the bonus.

- Players can now revert their Zamorakian Hastas back into Zamorakian spears by speaking to Otto Godblessed.
- Supercompost making:
- Players can now make supercompost using compost bins found at farming areas around the Gielinor.
- Supercompost can be made by filling the compost bins with 15 suitable items, found from the list on the OSRS wiki: https://oldschoolrunescape.fandom.com/wiki/Supercompost
- Once the 15 items have been added, players will have the option to close the compost bin, and then the timer will begin.
- After 30 minutes have passed, the player will receive a notification that they can open the compost bin and collect the compost.
- We’ve also added bananas and oranges to the suitable items list, since they are available at Trader Stan’s Trading Post.
- Once the 15 items have been added, players will have the option to close the compost bin, and then the timer will begin.

- Extreme donators: 17 supercompost
- Legendary donators: 19 supercompost
- Uber donators: 21 supercompost
- Master donators: 24 supercompost
- Immortal donators: 27 supercompost
- Ultracompost making:
- When the compost bin is ready to be harvested, players can use volcanic ash on the compost bin to fill their buckets with ultracompost instead of supercompost.
- This requires 1.8x the number of compost you can collect, so if you have 25 supercompost left in the bin, you’ll need to have 45 volcanic ash to add to the compost bin.
- When the compost bin is ready to be harvested, players can use volcanic ash on the compost bin to fill their buckets with ultracompost instead of supercompost.
- Players can right-click the compost bin to dump it out at any stage if needed.

- Some monster variants were not properly being affected by the Slayer helmet or Slayer dart spell effect.
- Some of the affected monsters:

(NOTE: In the GIF above of the storage units, it shows that the Saradomin brews stacked within the chest. This was a bug that has been fixed, and items do not stack in the chest unless they are stackable in your inventory (eg. notes or arrows))
We hope that you guys enjoy this update! As always, please report any bugs that you find as soon as they are found :)

Hello everyone,
First of all, we'd like to thank all of you for your patience during this update. I know that it was a long wait considering we had just started getting comfortable with weekly updates, but I promise that it was worth the wait, just see for yourself below! Chad and I have been grinding relentlessly to piece this update together, and we're extremely excited to announce that we're now the first RSPS with The Gauntlet! It is essentially OSRS's version of dungeoneering, but it is not a skill. You'll have approximately 10 minutes to run through a dungeon to collect supplies and create your own armour, weapons, food and potions to prepare for the boss fight against the Hunllef.
We're also the first RSPS with the city of Prifddinas, which contains a new Agility course, the Elven crystal chest, Crystal implings, a Crystal crown worth 2.147b GP, and much, much more. On top of this, we've pushed the new Forthos dungeon with the Sarachnis boss, as well as a host of other updates and bug fixes we're sure you'll love.
Without further ado…
- Update to latest OSRS version (#181):
- We've officially updated to the latest version of OSRS, which means that we have the latest maps, objects, npcs, items, etc.
- In the past, this was not extremely difficult, but OSRS has recently 'shuffled' many of the IDs for objects and npcs. This means that, for example, if the Banker NPC had the ID 394, it now had ID 1027, in a completely random order.
- This posed some difficulties as OSRS hasn't done this in years, but we've managed to overcome this obstacle and have developed some tools to unscramble the IDs relatively quickly if they choose to scramble them again in the future.

- Wilderness task emblem upgrading change:
- The previous update added a chance of upgrading emblems when slaying your assigned Wilderness task. If you had a Tier 10 emblem, since it could not be upgraded you would receive a Tier 8 emblem. Rather than Tier 8, you will now receive a separate Tier 7 emblem as the upgrade for Tier 10.
- Forthos:
- Players can reach the dungeon by speaking to the teleport wizard, or going down the leader north of sand crabs.
- Olbertus:
- Players can speak to Olbertus to obtain a temple coin by either fighting him, or paying him 5 dragonstones.
- If you pay him 5 dragonstones, you will obtain a temple coin, and 100 bones will be added to the sacrificed bone count on the Sacred Bone Burner.
- Players can speak to Olbertus to obtain a temple coin by either fighting him, or paying him 5 dragonstones.
- Stone Relief:
- Players can use a temple coin on the Stone Relief to access a hidden room where they can tan hides and sacrifice dragon bones to the Sacred Bone Burner.
- Players will receive 3x the prayer experience for burying bones if they have at least 100 bones sacrificed to the Sacred Bone Burner, otherwise they will receive no exp.
- Once a player has sacrificed 200 bones to the Sacred Bone Burner, they will receive a temple key, which they can use to permanently unlock the Western and Eastern gates in the dungeon.
- If the player loses this key before they unlock the gates, they will NOT be able to get it back.
- Players can check their faith on the altar to get a rough idea on how many bones have been sacrificed to Rolos.
- Once the temple coin has been added to the stone relief, the gate leading to the room with the Sacred Bone Burner will be accessible.
- Players can use a temple coin on the Stone Relief to access a hidden room where they can tan hides and sacrifice dragon bones to the Sacred Bone Burner.

- There is an agility shortcut in the dungeon to go to the red dragon area, which will require 75 agility to use.
- Grubby Chest:
- If players obtain a Grubby Key from a monster within the dungeon, they can use it to open the Grubby chest, which rewards a random food item, potion item, and loot item.
- The potential items that will be rewarded can be found on the OSRS wiki:
- If players obtain a Grubby Key from a monster within the dungeon, they can use it to open the Grubby chest, which rewards a random food item, potion item, and loot item.
- Undead druids:
- The Forthos dungeon is home to these druids, who are known for their unique masks (the Mask of ranul) which can be obtained as a rare drop.
- They also drop numerous Herblore secondaries, many herbs and almost every seed available.
- Note:
- Dwarf multi-cannons cannot be used in the dungeon.
- Sarachnis:
- Players can now fight Sarachnis in the Forthos dungeon.
- Mechanics:
- Sarachnis primarily uses Melee/Range as its main attacks, and will attack with melee if it’s within range.
- Every 4 attacks, Sarachnis will spawn sticky webs around all the players in the room and they will be unable to move for up to 5 seconds, while Sarachnis retreats into a corner.
- When Sarachnis has 60% and 30% of its health left, it will summon 2 spiders to attack each player in the area, one spider uses mage, while the other one uses melee.
- When Sarachnis dies, the spawns will also die.
- If Sarachnis lands a hit on a player with melee, it will automatically heal itself for 5 damage.
- Loot:
- Sraracha:
- Players have a small chance to obtain the pet upon killing Sarachnis.
- Jar of eyes:
- Players have a small chance to obtain the Jar of Eyes, which can be used to setup the display in a player-owned house.
- Sarachnis will always drop 1-3 noted red spiders’ eggs per kill.
- This is not implemented in OSRS, however we know that some players have been requesting more ways to get Herblore secondaries, and a logical way to get the red spiders’ eggs them seems to be from Sarachnis.
- Sarachnis Cudgel:
- Players have a small chance at obtaining the Sarachnis cudgel when killing Sarachnis.
- The cudgel is a one-handed crush weapon that requires 65 attack to wield.
- Giant Egg Sac:

- The Gauntlet:
- The Gauntlet is a solo mini-game in Prifddinas in which the player is given a limited amount of time to explore a completely randomly generated dungeon layout, gather supplies and resources by utilizing both skills and combat, in preparation to fight the Crystalline Hunllef.
- Access:
- It can be accessed through a portal in Prifddinas, or through the Teleport wizard.
- Additionally, you can type ;;gauntlet to teleport there quickly.
- Objective:
- You must move through the dungeon to explore the different rooms, which may contain resources or monsters, or both.
- You have 10 minutes in the dungeon to gather resources and equipment for the final fight. Once the timer runs out, you are teleported into the final room automatically and must fight to the death. You can enter the boss fight room earlier if you choose, which can lead to better loot.
- Different resources can be collected through Mining, Woodcutting, Fishing and other gathering methods. These resources can be cooked into food, and some are necessary for creating weapons, armour and potions which will assist in the final boss fight.
- Smaller crystalline monsters, such as bats, rats and unicorns can be killed for supplies, while higher level monsters such as Dark beasts and Dragons offer better drops at the cost of taking more time to defeat.
- The Crystalline Hunllef must be defeated to complete the dungeon:
- The Hunllef primarily attacks with range or mage. It always starts with magic attacks, and after 4 attacks it will alternate to ranged, and so on.
- The Hunllef also will always have a protection prayer up, and after every 6th hit it receives it will change it’s prayer to your last attack style.
- If you walk under the Hunllef, you may get crushed by a Stomp attack that deals up to 40 damage, so you'll want to stay out of its way.
- The room will constantly have dangerous tiles that you can’t step on. At first, these tiles will turn blue to warn you and give you time to run off of them. Once they have turned orange, they will damage you every tick you are standing on them.
- Occasionally, the Hunllef will summon 2 whirlpools that chase you around the room. You’ll have to outrun these for 14 seconds, otherwise they will deal damage constantly if they reach you.
- Completion of the Gauntlet will reward players with various loot, including crystal armour seeds to create new Crystal equipment.
- Dying or leaving early may still grant small reward for your time and effort, but does not grant any unique rewards.
- Corrupted Gauntlet:
- Players who are up for a real challenge can enter the Corrupted Gauntlet, which is a fiery red dungeon that is very similar to the regular gauntlet, though with a few key differences:
- Rather than 10 minutes to explore the dungeon, you are only allowed 7.5 minutes.
- Rather than 600hp, the Hunllef has 1000 hp.
- Upon completion, you have a better chance of obtaining a unique reward, and better base loot.
- Upon the first completion of the Corrupted gauntlet, you will receive the Gauntlet cape.

Hello everyone,
This week's update wraps up the final major component of Prifddinas… Zalcano! We're very excited to announce that Alora is the first server to release this content and The Gauntlet, which we hope you've been enjoying since the last update! This skilling mini-game focuses on defeating Zalcano without the use of combat, which is different from most bosses. There's also a cool looking new pet, Smolcano, which can be obtained from the boss. On top of this, we've been listening to your Theatre of Blood loot feedback and have made some adjustments based on what we've heard.
- Regional compost bins:
- Compost bins now each operate as independent bins which players can use.
- The following bins are currently functional:
- Catherby
- Ardougne
- Falador
- Port Phasmatys
- Hosidius

- Theatre of Blood loot changes:
- As requested by many of you, we've modified the loot mechanics in the Theatre of Blood.
- Just over a month ago, we matched OSRS's loot mechanics for ToB, which made it so that only one player on the team could get a unique item.
- Many of you have expressed dislike on this aspect of the update, especially considering Alora's version of ToB always had a chance for every player on the team to receive a purple chest.
- Considering this, we've tweaked the loot system to remove the limitation on only one player receiving loot. With the tweaks we've made, the drop rate is slightly better than before, but with a chance for multiple players to obtain rare loot which seems to be the main complaint that we've heard.

- Due to many requests, Arianwyn has been re-enabled with the following changes:
- Instead of 1m and 3m GP cost, it is now 2m/5m.
- This is due to the addition of the Crystal bowl in Prifddinas which allows you to create Crystal weapon with shards, and keeping the GP cost the same would devalue the Crystal singing bowl.
- Instead of 1m and 3m GP cost, it is now 2m/5m.

- Zalcano will periodically spawn a golem in the south east part of the prison, which will walk up to Zalcano and heal him for the remaining amount of hp that it has.

- Description:
- Prifddinas Agility course tweaks:
-
- The ladder to start the agility course now gives experience, as intended.
- The exp rates overall have been slightly raised to match the base rates as OSRS, since there was a recent increase in experience per hour.
- The largest increase was on the final obstacle in the agility course, which was increased from 968 base experience, to 1037 base experience.

- Store updates:
- Gauntlet Booster:
- Gauntlet boosters are now available in the store!
- The cost per booster is 15 tokens.
- Effect:
- The booster offers a +25% boost to your loot from The Gauntlet for 1 hour.
- Assuming 10 minutes each run, you will have a drop boost for up to 6 runs total. If you are running the corrupted gauntlet, you will have the boost for up to 8 runs.
- The booster offers a +25% boost to your loot from The Gauntlet for 1 hour.
- Other notes:
- These boosters can be obtained from Super/Ultimate mystery boxes (in varying quantities).
- Certain game modes (EIM/GIM/Classic/Realism/HCIM) can only open a scroll once every 3 hours. Every other game mode can open scrolls back to back as many times as they'd like.
- EIM/GIM cannot open a Gauntlet booster if they are still under the effect of one.
- Normal accounts can 'use' these scrolls on trade-locked players (eg. GIM) to transfer them (if they have tokens on their main account, it is essentially the same as moving tokens from a donation).
- Gauntlet boosters are now available in the store!

We hope you enjoy this update! :) Please report any bugs that you encounter as soon as possible.
