Hello everyone, I get questions on a daily basis about my current status of my hand situation that happened a few weeks back!
If you weren't already aware, I got my hand crushed between the tongue of a boat trailer hitch and a forklift mast, you can read more about that here! - https://www.alora.io...-what-happened/
About my recovery..
I'm doing very well, the pain has trapper-ed out and is, bearable.. I've been attending physical therapy 2 times a week and see my surgeon a week from today for my second check up since my first visit after surgery to get the 15 stitches out!
If you have a good stomach, here are some pictures of the first check up of what my hand looks like..
The doctor and my physical therapist both have told me I should have no problems recovering and with regain about 90% of use of all of my fingers, which is incredible news to here. This is tendon wise, nerve wise, I probably will not have feeling in my ring and middle finger, therefore in a year I will be eligible for a nerve transplant if it doesn't heal itself. (It's like a 5% chance they will grow back their own)
This is really all I know for the time being because I've barely have started this long road that's ahead of me, I won't have full function in 8-10 months.
Looks like i'm one handed boogs for awhile.. Anyways, thought i'd fill you all in!
Here is my current status - Meet my friend, Splinty I call it
I'll keep you all posted in the future as I get more information.
Kind Regards,
Boogs
