Currently the Eternal Gem is not on the drop table for superior slayer monsters. I think adding this to the drop table will give players another item to look forward to obtaining while doing slayer. Now I know having the gem on Alora is impractical because we can just look at our Game panel and see what or how many monsters we have left to slay.

My suggestion is to add it to the superior drop table as an item to sell to the Slayer Master similar to ensouled heads.

I think if we add it at a 1/1000 drop rate (0.1%) and allow players to sell it for 10M this would entice players to kill Superior creatures as well as have something to look forward to while doing so. I believe if the item isn't trade able and has a broadcast message it would be a nice add to the server. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I would like to point out that Imbued heart is dropped at a rate of 0.67% (about 1/150) and sells between 3M-5M what I suggested would be 10m and would be dropped at a rate of 0.1% (1/1000) the item would be over 6 time more uncommon for only 2-3 times the cost.

I was thinking something similar as well but seeing how you can home teleport and be at any slayer dungeon in the matter of seconds with the teleport wizard it would make the item pretty useless.

The item would be pretty useless to add into Alora as we have the teleport wizard already. Selling it to the slayer master for 10m would be quite an OP amount, as what 40a said.

I'm open to suggestions to change some details. But like i stated before comparing it to the imbued heart with it being over 6x the drop rate statistically you'd get 6-7 hearts 3-5m (18-35m) before you'd get 1 eternal gem (10m)

The difference with that, however, is that ironmen cannot sell the imbued heart for 3-5m. So, you can't really compare their prices to the proposed price for this eternal gem. Caskets and ensouled heads are enough sources of income as is, considering their rarity with the row(i).

I wouldn’t be against dropping the suggested price, but it is as simple as transferring the item to a normal account selling it then using an Ironman friendly item onto your account (Books, drop boosters, bonds etc.) and let’s be honest the majority of money on an iron man goes into the well.

As stated above the drop rate would be significantly higher than any other drops from superiors and in no means would be an effective way to generate money. It would take an item that isn't on the Alora drop tables and give it a purpose. Teleports, Slayer counter, and Contacting slayer masters are all useless with the ability to use unlimited teleports by the Teleport Wizard.

Here's a bit of a modification to give the idea a bit more use - the ability to exchange the gem with a slayer master for a certain amount of slayer points. (A truly fair amount of slayer points in exchange would depend heavily on the drop rate of the gem) 

 

Exchanging for gold isn't good for the economy, but gaining slayer points would be beneficial to ironmen and can still be profitable for normies. This a good contrast to the imbued heart currently being heavily devalued because you really only need one, and superiors are an inconvenience when you already have one.
